@@ShomitChotia...only Indians...they still have to compete with their COUSINS in their families and their own generation, too. Chinese spend...but very carefully....Chinese do get the jobs...their own community gives their heart out to help their brethern. Many go back too. China is far more DEVELOPED than India. I understand it is a BITTER pill for an Indian to swallow. On the other hand, Indians who are already established in West, does not promote their community to PREVENT DESI COMPETETION.
These guys who are speaking may have knowledge but from their video presentation ( after 35 years experience in North America) they are HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and UN EMPLOYABLE. Typical desperate Indians who have no clue of the corporate world.

This is the right attitude. Just bcos you have a Masters in STEM doesn't mean the corporate world owes you a job. At times you must be ready to take a pay cut. Adapt to the market dynamics is all we can say. 2008 recession was far worse than this. But much worser problem for the immigrants now is their work permit renewals, GC queue, H1B filing and their student debts back home on top of the sluggish job market.

I don’t understand why kids don’t work in India and get H1B and come to US. Without work permits it’s very difficult to get a job for foreign kids. This has been the situation in US since 2008. You have to start from scratch.

H1B visa is lottery dependent. Student visa is almost guaranteed if you get into a good school.

Investing on yourself throughout your 20's should be an excellent advice rather than the mindset that you never created a dollar out of your education. What else are you gonna do the rest of your life after 20's anyway if not for earning. You might not be so intellectually capable once you age, especially for engineers. (P.S. Most mathematicians peak at their work at an average age of 26)

In the US on OPT or H1-B visa you are supposed to get payed more than the average American in your job position. Otherwise you won't be issued the visa. Even if you accept it, you can't work for free legally in the US.
