Thomas, the most refined, composed and considerate car reviewer of this time. I put you in the same spot as Alain de Cadenet and Tiff Needell, with the exception they are great racing pilots too. But you wear the gentleman's badge with pride and honor. Great job. As for the car, it's distinguished but as you commented correctly, the seats look too uncomfortable and the infotainment is too shallow to really offer that grand touring comfort. Also with touring comes luggage and a front engined GT will always offer more storage space. The Bentley Continental, BMW M8, Maserati GranTurismo, Mercedes AMG GT, Jaguar F Type ... All offer great touring performance and decent storage space with much more comfort, better infotainment (except the Maserati) and nicer fabrics available for similar prices. Not sure I would pick a McLaren to be my grand tourer. Then again, I will never be able to afford it so my opinion is not valuable except for the fact that I watch a lot of car reviews 🤷♂️. Happy Newyear 💫

Very entertaining, informative and amusing video - many thanks Thomas and Michel. Great views looking forward through windscreen, and excellent driving, as always. "No one needs a McLaren but it's somehow cool!" Yes, fun to drive for a blast, but wouldn't want this one, or own a modern McLaren! Much rather have the rare, better proportioned and faster 1994 McLaren F1...! (or if in the market for a 'modern sportscar' - an i8 Roadster?). But great Review. Happy New Year.
That’s what McLaren has a knack for really, making very fast cars in all classes, that when you put your foot down just make you think, holy hell that’s fast!... we can all see it in your face :D. Hope you had a great Christmas and happy New Year to you all.
While it is still January, the best quote of 2020: “You don’t do boy races, your sophisticated enough to say I am an English gentleman driving a super car, I don't need that…” Always enjoy your reviews Thomas!
Not a fan of the red colored interior but not many other complaints. The car looks good from every angle- especially the rear end wow! Happy New Year Thomas.
Brilliant review as always. Would love more Autogefühl Supercar/Hypercar reviews - like a holiday special - nice to have an honest review of dream cars as well as Thomas having lots of fun :) Maybe the Ferrari SF90 Stradale next? #LetsGo
I think this channel is so underrated. Thomas gives you all the information about your favorite car that you would ever need to know but yet less than 1M subs. I just don't get it. Anyway, another great review.
At 3:06 either the car is fairly low or Thomas has grown in height. Kudos to Thomas to illustrate the graceful (anmutig) entry / exit procedure to and from the vehicle. Lesser reviewers simply edit these moments out of their videos as it would not be a pretty sight.

@@derbigpr500 for a 200k it is dull, which is great for the track days - sober functionality rules there - but for a luxury GT its really boring. Why bother - compare it to a Ferrari or whatever in this class. I like the outside elegant lines though.
As usual great review. :-) I checked the launch of the Nissan GT-R in your review there: it reached 250 kph at the second highway sign starting from stillstand and further back in the autobahn access lane. With the McLaren you started earlier and already rolling. So both cars should be on par. Just had to note that as I have a GT-R Premium edition in gun metallic finish :-)
My main gripe with this car, is that over £200k is a lot of money to pay for an engine which you cannot see. One wonders whether McLaren are preparing us for the EV future but whatever, until then my money goes elsewhere. I like to see what I am paying for. I also wonder whether McLaren are just spinning this GT off their standard platform because they can, and the only way they can realistically call it a GT is to bury the engine under shallow luggage space. Or maybe I should just call this Cynical Sunday?
A lightweight "carbon-fibre core" giving a weight of 1500kg. They shouldn't have wasted their time. An axle-lift of 2cm? No mention of range on a car with explicit GT aspirations.
This is a super car made for men to persuade their wives to let them buy it.... It’s a GT car honest.. it may look like a super car but it’s really just a GT cruiser, it has room for all your shopping love..
McLarens are much cooler than Porsche or any other German cars which are so common on the road and less special/exotic. Only cars which can really compete with them are Ferrari, Lamborghini and some Aston Martin imo.
1000%. porsche's are ugly with bug headlights from beetle era, great cars technically but ugly as hell. Ive seen a black fully specced 911 turbo parked and in traffic and no-one gives it a second glance. It is only lambo, ferrari and mclaren where people stare (even people who dont have a clue about cars and are judging by the shape alone not by the brand or tech spec), even astons like the db11 don't get much of a look apart from say the DBS.
Kind of a fan of the 500-cars. But this feels like a design step back to the MP4-12c. It doesn't have to be agressive but... dull? The MP4-12c (except for having the crappiest name) looked like a mid-engine Megane or something. It still has a nice rear end, with those fat pipes. But from the side..? A Ferrari 360L? And yes Ferrari 360 was a VERY boring design in hindsight. :P
That’s where they really make money. On extras, which are standard on regular cars under 20K. However this car comes with speakers... what he showed were the optional B&W speakers.
This car reminds me so much like the ones you find in GTA5 wheres front from one car and back from another. This looks like F360 from the front and side mixed with some Lambo from the back.
I have never seen Thomas so happy in such an ugly car. Must be the lovely German landscape, which is the only plus of this review. Man I miss Deutschland.
My buddy had a McLaren 720s, what a piece of junk. Constant issues with reliability and quality, miserable customer service. There are a lot of choices at this price range, almost everything is a better option because McLaren doesn't care about their customers and without customer service and support, owning a supercar is a miserable experience. I'll stay with the Germans (Audi/BMW), they've always taken care of me.
GT = Gran Turismo. This is not a GT. No place to put luggage or anything quite frankly. As Forest Gump's mama used to say, stupid is as stupid does. And sorry but that profile is awful. It's so disproportional. Man could that booty look any bigger? The rear end is huge compared to the front. EWWWWWWWW. If you want a exotic GT, go buy a front engine Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley. If you really want a Mclaren the 720S is awesome and the most unique design by far. But the video was entertaining. That was 250 heheheheheh, fist pump....
Thomas, thanks for your amazing reviews, from what I read all Mclaren's are a POS, the manufacture has an amazing factory but the cars always break and nobody cares. Porsche all the way even A Ferrari, you would be better off!

Hey Thomas, what shoes are you wearing on this particular video? They look really comfortable!
I think Autogefühl is German for “hot man drives hot cars”
😂😂
Get a room!
The interior looks modest for a 200k super car.
I much prefer that over the swanky interior of an AMG Mercedes
What exactly is modest about real metal and real high quality leather covering literally every single surface, including those you can't see or touch?
