I mean I knew this was never going to go in the bug's favor, but I can't understand how the spiders and scorpions actually managed to defeat SPIDER. Was it because they were able to close the distance quick enough to use its own drones against it?

Perhaps the timing that S.P.I.D.E.R. turns on the freezing field is wrong. Spiders and scorpions can get close to it using the time gap.

The problem with the robots: sometimes they hit there self so the enemys get off of the robot or they hit the spider robot
