Gaborone : rather pronounce 'Ga' as Ha ( Haborone), even if its still wrong, but is much more better. But if you want to pronounce ' Ga' accurately, make a sound as if you are you are pushing up a cough to spit it.
I recently traveled to Gaborone. In all honesty Windhoek is waaaaay ahead of Gaborone. There's literally nothing to do in Gaborone expect for the usual things, the infrastructure needs alot of work, the roads are beyond bad, people are not welcoming, the city isn't well kept. Gaborone looks like they just got independence 5 years ago or something because they have a lot to do. What I loved is the citizens are law abiding
What I would have compared : 1) Cuisine or restaurants 2) Housing quality 3) Hospitals and doctors 4) University and cost of education 5) Public transportation (buses).
Well i will say Namibia is a young country after all thereby I imagined it being independent in the late 1970 it would be more developed. Anyways i was just passing by...
In five year's time when Windhoek meets with satellite towns of Okahandja and Rehoboth together with the completion of the freeways connecting to the International Airport, Rehoboth and Okahandja,it won't be comparable Gaborone anymore, it will officially be in the same league with the Johannesburgs and the Luandas of Africa.
Both countries are nice, but how comes you left out Atosha national park? Which is one of the largest national park in southern Africa located in Namibia.
I would say Namibia for me as I have visited and seen the country. I haven’t been to Botswana, so I can’t Judge. However, it look like a beautiful country and city as well.
more than 45% of Namibias land is for wildlife and possibly tourism .....that alone tells you how wrong the last part of your video......but overall very informative and educational
As a black person, obviously Gaborone is the clear winner. Both are beautiful, but only 1 of them will have you feel like you're not in another post-apartheid state where all the pasty own all the wealth and my people are their staff. No thanks.
If J K just knew that Gaborone is infrastructuraly a baby of foreign investment because of booming diamond industry and tourism the better. Anybody who runs away from their past is a coward hence we don't. We face our past and embrace it draw good lessons to make our future great. We have a cross breed of black and white called Coloureds, do you mean after independence we should get rid of them or impose languages and names they don't understand? Of course not, thus we have maintained certain names of places in order of balancing with our diversity. Not all towns in Namibia have European names as you would wish to feed your fertile imagination. We have: Gobabis, Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Otjinene, Okakarara, Otjiwarongo, Otavi, Tsumeb, Rundu, Katima Mulilo, Ondangwa, Oshakati, Ongwediva, Eenhana, Omuthiya, Oshikango, Outapi, Okahao, Tsandi, Ruacana, Opuwo, Khorixas, Outjo, Omaruru, Swakopmund from the Nama word Tsoakhaub for Swakop river meaning large opening etc. Most of the towns mentioned here are not build by the colonizers but were built in independent Namibia.
Own all the wealth my foot, although we still have a long way to go, Namibia was a settler colony unlike Botswana. To undo the colonial impact of over 100 years in a system that imposed apartheid, has to be gradual. South Africa on the other side is facing the same hurdle as us. This doesn't mean all the wealth is owned by the colonizers. We have black people that are now millionaires and billionaires in our currency and they have broken into the ownership of wealth previously reserved for whites. Us black people are now owning houses in previously reserved white suburbs and owning commercial farms. Our people now own shares in most companies.
Namibia can not have wildlife in the the City, compare the tourism attraction to Etosha National park, Coastal Towns etc...People don't visit Windhoek for tourism..
I love your video but I don't like the way you pronounce Windhoek, and it's name in Khoekhoe gowab. Anyway I hope you improve on correct pronunciation.❤️🇧🇼 am from 🇳🇦 and I love my country even more.
Botswana: We started it all by ourselves, whereas Namibia benefited a lot, first from the Germans and later, from the Boers, who developed Windhoek as if it would be theirs for ever.
Botswana has been independent since the 60, but they still use this lame excuse... Namibia has the best roads in Africa today, it is 31 years after independence.
Gaborone should clearly compete with Swakopmund because its no way on the level of Windhoek.. I've been to gabs and trust me it's sh*t 😂 Windhoek is way way ahead

As a Namibian I fully agree with your analysis except tourism. I think there are more things to do in WHK than Gaborone.
I think Windhoek much developed
It's well planned
@@kennykross3306 yes it is But in there near 6 year's, Botswana should be better
Both cities are beautiful, though there are so many things one can do in Windhoek Namibia due to its tourist attractions. Beautiful country
Botswana is still developing hope to see more as time goes on. But love both countries Botswana and Namibia.
The flags in the thumbnail are swapped and the purported image of Gaborone is actually of Nairobi's skyline.
I notice,thanks😂😂
A good comparison will be Windhoek and Harare. Both beautiful cities with an European architecture.
💯 ❤🎉🎉

There are indeed public bus services in Windhoek
Where are the visible bus stops to get out or in ?
Am i wrong to have seen Nairobi somewhere at the beginning
Why are u showing pictures of Swakopmund Namibia 🇳🇦 when talking about gaborone ? 😂👎🏾
Exactly, its misleading. I saw a beach in one of the Gaborone pictures as well.

Always Kenya city on the thumbnail ...love africa
You've shown Swakopmund🌊 more than 5 times both as Windhoek and Gaborone. No hate just saying..
Which is a sillier question? Windhoek or Gaborone? Namibia or Botswana?
Non of the above; it's you who is silly.
Gaborone and Windhoek are like twin brothers, they should not be compared.

Gaborone does not have a beach. some of the Images are misleading
Why are you showing swakopmund videos while talking about gaborone
Beautifull place !
Both are great
I love both too much
Why are you showing Harare on a majority of the shots where you're talking about Windhoek?

Why are you using the Nairobi skyline on Gaborone. The blue Longhorn tower is only in Nairobi

How do you speak of Gaborone and yet you are Featuring Swakopmund City in Namibia. That will not give a true reflection of what you are talking about.

Nice cities
Botswana: We started it all by ourselves, whereas Namibia benefited a lot, first from the Germans and later, from the Boers, who developed Windhoek as if it would be theirs for ever.
We're tired of that lame excuse.. Namibia will keep developing from where the apparent "boers" left off while u kip on dwelling on that stoopid excuse
And it still is. 90% of Namibians are ' end users ' while the rest are developers.
