- Hi, I know I haven't posted a Black Screen video in such a long time! But I have had many requests to upload a black screen video but I just haven't been able to take the the time to look into adding some.
It's also really nice to just upload some raw audio from my recorder without having to try and match sounds to a scene that I have made in Unreal.
So here is a VERY high quality recording of rain, recorded by myself during an early evening rain storm in my own car. To record this I used a Sound-Devices Mix Pre 6 II at 32Bit float recording. And the mics I used are EM272 Clippys, one clipped to each head rest of the front seats.
It was also originally recorded at 96Khz but I think that Premiere only lets me compress audio to 48Khz, but I'm hoping the quality still shines through.
The only thing I have done to this audio is run it through a very mild Tube Compressor to help warm the sound slightly as I found the raw recording a bit harsh.

Tech Stuff:
I do not use AI to generate any of my scenes, in whole or in part. My scenes are made using Unreal Engine and edited in Davinci Resolve, After Effects or Premiere, but I don't use AI and my scenes are made by a real person. Many many days of work go into each video that I make, sometimes weeks or months, this was made and rendered in Unreal Engine 5 using my own game industry experience and professional knowledge. My audio is mostly recorded using a MixPre 6 II and EM272 Stereo mics.

And please do not be afraid to reuse rain sounds with different videos. You have some really great sounds you've recorded and I like being about to pick the rain texture I want to sleep to.
