I just finished mine today that I got for Christmas. It seriously was a great build! I have gt3 RS and the chiron makes the porsche look like nothing. My only gripe is you never see the gearbox or even the engine and the rear lit does not open. The Porsche is lighter and the body comes off the frame intact, making mods easy. The bugatti does not. It's a unibody so you better double check as you go!
At 8.22 I think you can see why the front suspension on your build doesn't spring back (as shown on your initial impressions video). The spring units are incorrectly located at the bottom connection. I think they should be one hole further outboard.

Hey Sariel, I realized that at 8:18 when you are installing the shocks, you put them 1 hole too close to the center of the car. This makes the suspension problem worse. However, when I built mine, I still had a problem with it. Im going to try to add a 3rd shock to each wheel
I was just thinking whether this was by accident or on purpose for fixing the suspension problem. But indeed, it gets worse this way. In my opinion there's too much friction in the joints. You can try replacing all the blue and black pins by beige and grey pins. Those have more clearance.

At 8:22, the shocks are supposed to be right next to the 1/2 5beam (Example: The right side shocks’ / springs’ black part is supposed to be one more stud to the right for more springy feeling).
I'm sure this was an awesome video. Had a couple of sneak peaks at various times through the video but decided to save the experience in case I purchase this set at some point. Looks like a very tightly packed build. Thanks for the video and the Sariel video review. Hope you enjoyed your time at the launch event
Technic not making a new peice to acommodate the w shaped engine was an opportunity missed. I know that in the interveiw, they need to make as little new peices as possible, but the bugatti veyron, some bentleys, (and one audi, to my knowledge,) and other major supercars have w shaped engines. Not making a new peice specifically for the engine was a bad idea, as it could have forwarded the idea that they can work with more vehicle brands, which produce supercars and hypercars, in the future. Overall, I still don't hate the model. Simply because it is better than the porsh in every shape and form. Does anyone else agree with me? I'm open for discusssion.
I stil hope that they wil make some crazy cars like the zenvo or apollo, btw what do you think of the leakt land rover ? I really want to see a bac mono

When you compare this speed build and the one done by Sariel on LEGO event you will see the difference. In Billund it was built as it probably should be.
Cant wait to get the set for myself. I got the porsche back in December for my birthday so I will have to wait until December this year to get this one. RIP
That's actually scary. I know that legos costs a lot but if i were in you i would've never disassembled the sets that make you proud the most (like the kenworth trucks)
I realy do like this kit, I personally like the looks better than the porsch, but functions just arnt as good, I meen the front suspension locked itself everytime you press on it, does this happen to you? Anyway great build mate and keep up the awesome work 👍

Indeed, you would have to redesign the whole chassis. I would personally throw out the gearbox (which is pretty useless) and put two XL Motors in it's place. And I'm sure the Servo Motor will fit somewhere inbetween :)
I’m having a hard time understanding what the selector in the middle of the cabin is used for. Is activates either a red or blue gear. Anyone know? Thanks
There is no other Bugatti-licensed Technic set, so no fair basis for comparison. Given the number of pieces, the price-per-piece is actually well within average for all LEGO sets.
yes it is. no functions, not remote controlled, cant drive and only 3.6k pieces for 370€ is too much. next crane coming our will have power functions 4k+ pieces and only costs 220€, so you will be paying just the bugatti name here

What I meant is, that you go into much more detail with all your other reviews, you analyze the sets really well, try to knock every detail of the model and always give quite a lot of criticism. Now this review was a lot shorter "content wise" and stretched with quite long shots of the model and you repeating some of the function more times than actually necessary. This makes me feel, like you quickly rushed through the review glossing over potential design failures and misshaps. I'm not saying this was on purpose, or even influenced by Lego (although it might seem like it), it could've had something to do with a lack of time, considering you had a lot to do in your life outside of RUclips recently. I just wanted to see a review, that is a lot more in-depth, like you always do. Don't take this the wrong way, I still love the stuff you put out. All of this was just sitting on my mind :).
Sorry if it feels that way. Due to my marriage and honeymoon trip I actually had just about 2 days to build the set, film it, edit and upload the review, and this is the best I could manage.

I don't think a Mustang, simply because it's more of a sports car and not a supercar (although I would consider the Chiron a hypercar). My guesses are any Ferrari, a Koenigsegg, Ford GT, or maybe the rumored mid-engine Corvette...
The gearbox itself is two separate 4 speed gearboxes, acting in series. There a mechanism that switches the second gearbox by one gear up when the first gearbox is switched 4 gears up. Therefore the total amount of positions is 4x4 is 16. However, in the second gearbox the ratio of positions 1 and 3 is equal, as wel as positions 2 and 4. Therefore the total amount of different ratios is 8. Additionally you can put the car in reverse, which totally bypasses the gearbox.
very nice build! I like to get that however I cannot afford it. I got a tone of work to finish all my 1/60 scale PG grade GUNDAM KITS when working on LEGO like this one. there is no wind shield and no windows on the side doors on the hood no window. hmmmmmmmm holes all over the main body.. However that is a great LEGO KITlets see if that can be taken to the next level install a radio control system. with head lights and tail lights working
ah, I didn't expand that out.. heh.. I did the BWE in 9 hours straight, so I know I can build this car faster.. wanna send me a set and I'll time lapse it for you.. :)
Considering, that the Chiron has 800 Pieces more than the Porsche, is 70$ more expensive and is a Bugatti, not really much more expensive.. And the price per part is normal for a Technic set.

This means, the initial review needs to be revised. The front suspension isn't sagging, it's wrongly built in the review.

Freeze I don't think he can do this because in this car there isn't really spare place for motors or battery boxes..

It's a forward/reverse selector.
If you put it in ahead, it connects to the 8 speed gearbox. If you put it in reverse it connects directly to the engine.
Are the spares and replacement parts the same for all of us or is it diffferent parts???????

walter jackson Lego has a Ferrari license, so maybe a LaFerrari. Who knows.
I think it will be a Ford or a Ferrari because Lego has the license for for that from the lego speedchampions.

So does this set have 8 or 16 speeds? I see reviewers stating 16 but Lego says 8 plus reverse.
Jack Byers 8 speed, but selectable with Reverse or Forward. So its 8x2 gearbox. This is why some reviewers say 16 speed.
