The gay parties in 1955 just meant that they were parties where everyone there had a lot of fun. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the homosexual people.

They speak English very well in England he must be joking! British English is our mother English. They have a nice English accent unlike our boring modern accent. American English isn't that old, our mother language is British English, 1500 year's old

Groucho did not say "good", but "well"--which is the correct word. He would not make such a simple mistake as saying "they speak English good..."
@@m42037 Well Clueless, you do not know the difference between an adverb and an adjective. "speak English well" and "speak good English". Sorry if I use words you do not understand. Maybe you are self-taught. BTW, what do "launguge" and "contenent" mean?
The first contestants were very ignorant about the Bible. The Holy Bible was still taught in the public schools in 1955. Any 5 years old would not have had all of the answers wrong.
They should have picked another subject
