In spite of lack of time to complete the chapter 7 Holy Spirit has given the assurance of the High Priest that He will and He is able to make us to reach the Eternity
Thank u for unraveling the mystery surrounding Melchizedek. There are many shadows of Jesus in the OT. In Genesis Jesus is shadowed by the mysterious priest-king Melchizedek who reigned in Jerusalem centuries before & who blessed Abraham. The animal sacrifices in the OT are shadows of Jesus who is the Passover lamb in the NT , who has given us access to God’s throne by His sacrifice once & for all on the cross. The Levitical priesthood of Aaron is a shadow of Christ who is our eternal high priest who intercedes for us & our eternal king who will rule over us in the new Jerusalem forever. God has undeniably blessed u with the gift of wisdom, knowledge & teaching. May God use u mightily in His kingdom for His glory.
The Old Testament sacrifices symbolized Christ. The Passover, or paschal, sacrifice symbolized the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God. The paschal lamb was to be a male, without spot and blemish, and not a bone was to be broken. Jesus fulfilled this picture perfectly. “Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7). Jesus also fulfilled the symbolism of Yom Kippur(day of atonement)Jesus bore our sins in His own body (1 Peter 2:24) and tasted death for everyone (Hebrews 2:9). In doing so, He offered a better sacrifice than those of Yom Kippur, better because Christ’s sacrifice was permanent, was voluntary, and did not just cover sin but removed it altogether (Hebrews 9:8-14). When John the Baptist saw Christ, he pointed to Him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). Jesus is the “Passover lamb” in that He was silent before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7) and in His death bore the wrath of God, preserved the lives of all who trust Him, and set us free from the bondage of sin.
I don't know if its a good thing to say 'samayamilla' 😊 I feel it doesn't matter if you go elaborate on such topics...may be some other reason is there? Sorry if I am wrong in this sense here...
