I've been watching all your "candy" videos and I just wanted to say, whether your going off of someone else's idea, or your own, you have the BEST attitude of any crafter I've seen!! Your tenacity is admirable; nothing gets in your way. Everything looks so realistic and fun. Great job!
I just used the easter eggs and cut around the bottom with foam board and glued it in and coated with modge podge and glitter. I have a video on it. I'm gonna do the same with some mini foam eggs I got at Easter. Just cut them in 1/2. Definitely don't throw anything away. lol nothing a little sandpaper can't fix to your desired shape.
Lots of credit Jenny for sticking with the project. Its interesting how we learn by doing and Im so glad you showed what worked and what didn't work. They turned out just great. Just finished decorating my first tree and getting ready to tackle tree number two in the kitchen. I use all use all food and cooking related ornaments. I owned a gift store for 20 years so I have a huge variety of ornaments. Loving all your videos Jenny.
Thank you for sharing the mistakes. How about spray painting the Easter egg the color that you want and then putting mod podge on and putting glitter over top of that??
Very cute! I wonder if you could use the normal size plastic eggs to make smaller ones? Or would the foam spray not work with a small mold? Kudos to you for sticking with it. I appreciate that you showed the entire process, including the difficult parts, because that would be my reality and it's disheartening when you think something is so easy that a person on a video gets it perfect the first try but you can't. Your video is more helpful because you showed the issues you ran into and how you still salvaged it. Thanks!
You can use any size egg and cover bottom in any cardboard or cardstock and just add glitter to eggs, but now they sell glitter ones. I've picked them up at Easter on clearance, then just add a bottom.
I sooo appreciate you showing the "fails". You are great and inspire me to do some of these projects. Thanks!!

Thanks!!!! I think other crafters are tenacious too, they just don't show their foibles all the time!!!!!

Thanks Janet! I, too, am decorating today (and yesterday... and tomorrow... ). It's a fun season! I bet you have the BEST ornament collection!
These are supper cute. I wonder if it would help to drill a couple of small holes in yop of egg to help get air to dry.
This video, actually this series, has been so much fun that I hope you do more. Easter has possibilities. So does Mardi Gras.
More videos coming, as soon as I can find time to edit them!

Thanks Gigi! yes, you could definitely make smaller ones in smaller eggs and avoid the problems I had. but I wanted big ones!!!! hahaha. :-)

You need to drill a small hole in the top of the egg. Use Pam spray and ta da!
Bedank .ik vind het heel mooie
Thank you!
you can put clay
Maybe drill a small hole at the end
I saw someone make these and she said to spray the inside with water before you fill it
Pam spray the shell?
Getting them out was the easy part, so I'm not sure that's needed.
You have to drill a small hole
Your fake food looks better than what I actually eat.
hahahaha!
Try spraying the eggs with cooking oil first
