Hey man, a fellow Scottish enthusiast of Sarajevo here. I've been enjoying your entire series of videos over the last few days as in just under 3 weeks time I'll be making my fourth visit in two years to Bosnia, and I'm going through that pre-trip ritual of watching loads of travel vlogs!
I've loved watching your videos - it's easy to tell that you've become as smitten with Bosnia as I did on my first visit. It is a beautiful country, culturally diverse, rich with history - much of it bloody - with people who have an understandably tough exterior, but who are extraordinarily friendly beneath it.
You've seen some great things that I haven't managed to yet. The day I walked up to the White Fortress last year it was the one day of the week it is closed, ha ha. That summer was a wet one and I couldn't be bothered traipsing all the way up there again! Bistrik Kula looks fantastic - did you see the old Bistrik Railway Station? I think it's just a little up the hill from the cable car. A beautiful old building and a nice view of the city.
Did you make it to Srebrenica in the end? I heard you mention it in a couple of your videos. The Gallery 7/11/95 is an incredible place to visit, one of the best museums in Sarajevo. But even it can't prepare you for actually arriving in Srebrenica. It is haunting.
Out of interest, which tour agency did you attempt to take your trip with? I have used Meet Bosnia a lot during my trips to Sarajevo and they are brilliant. They will always try and fit a solo traveller into their excursions, although are reluctant to take them if there are no other bookings for a tour - which I guess is understandable.
I'm hoping there's still some more content from your trip to come. Would be interesting to see your reaction to cevapi, burek, Bosnian coffee, or a nice cold Sarajevsko! Did you find the Celtic Pub before you left? It's a good bar, always busy, good nightlife. While it does have Celtic memorabilia on the walls, it's as much a Scottish bar I reckon. It is close to the Eternal Flame.
Mostar is great. I agree with you that it has a really cool vibe. My best recommendation would be to stay there overnight, for a night or two, to see the place once all the day tourists from Dubrovnik & Sarajevo have left. It is much quieter and easier to get around. I didn't know about sniper tower or the square nearby (I think they call it Spanish Square?) when I went first time, but the pals who I have convinced to join me on my next trip are keen to take the train to Mostar, so I will be sure to check it out!
Apologies for the lengthy comment - I'm just really pleased to see another Scot feeling the same way I do about Bosnia! I hope you will consider a return visit, and as you said in one of your videos, consider visiting some other towns and cities in the country. Would highly recommend Banja Luka, Tuzla, and Jajce if you manage.

@@jjgalbraith2456 Hey there! Glad to meet a fellow Scot that has ventured to Sarajevo - I've not spoken to many that have visited BIH! Thanks for watching, I'm happy that you've enjoyed my videos so far! I'm so happy that I decided to take my GoPro with me on this trip, so that I can share my experience with others and spread the word about places that I enjoy - like BIH!
That's cool you're heading back soon! Anywhere else on the to-visit list apart from going to Mostar? There are a lot of beautiful spots across the country, I'm definitely going to try and get to those when I visit again! Have you been to Banja Luka or anywhere in the Republika Srpska region? Unfortunately, I never managed to get to Srebrenica on this trip, but I did manage to go to the Memorial Gallery, that was a very moving experience.
The Celtic bar was on my list to revisit 😂 but again, unfortunately, I never got there! As you'll understand, there's so much to do and see, all more the reason to go back one day!
Thanks for the suggestions and tips - I'll add then to my list for next time! How long are you going back for? I hope you have a great time bud! :)

Oh and I did manage to see the abandoned buildings/structures around Bistrik Kula too! It's not too far from the bottom of the Bobsleigh Track if you choose to venture up Trebevic! Also, my tour was booked through the Viator app, I can't remember who the specific operator was, but Tito's Nuclear Bunker is also on my list for when I return to the country 😂
