It's not that different, however the 12400F does not spike to 100% where i3 does, maybe a bit less but both are great matches for 3060, If you play online shooters like warzone, get i5 cause of higher 1% lows because of 6 cores and less stutters, freezez. But newer AAA's went ok with i3 as demonstrated in this video, set alan wake aside being GPU eater, most games utilized i3 well with a handful of spikes over 95%. Going any higher than 3060 will cause frequent 100%, e.g a 4070 super maxes out 100% at least half of the time on The Last of Us, even a 3060 Ti struggles on 12100F also 12400F.
