respectfully, one of the biggest names in visual novels has spent his entire career iterating on the concepts he laid down in this game. i assume you are aware but it is still a very funny thing to say about ever17 specifically
As a fan of 999 (It's one of my favourite games/visual novels). I just started playing this game today knowing it's by the same author, and I'm trying not to look at the comments or anything related to it until I finished it. All I can say is I already fell in love with the intro >
Same thing! While waiting for ZE3 (hopefully Uchikochi manages to get a funding...) I'm playing through the Infinity series. And I agree, the intro is AWESOME! :3
@@mickmars8319 ZTD didn't live up to the hype (which to be honest was to be expected considering it got way too small a budget), and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but I don't think it was terrible. That said, I'm most certainly looking forward to Somnium Files, even bought the limited edition.

0:37 - This sequence is actually really clever. It shows CG images from both MC's routes and then zooms out to show that all the pictures overlapped with each other. Like you're viewing them all from one perspective.
@SilentForceX (Head programmer on never7-en speaking): The N7 patch is still in progress (about 50% translated at present). The only public release was a proof-of-concept that just translated the first few lines.
I don't know how I'd feel about an anime adaption: The beauty of Ever17 (in my opinion) is how satisfying the ending is after everything that you struggled with. Unless the anime can cover every ending, it won't be nearly as satisfying as reading the VN. And it's also not like Higurashi where all the endings are presented to you in order; figuring out how to present each ending in order is another problem. If a good adaption can be made, however, I'll be very glad.
Well, if they do Coco's route, I think I have just the ticket for that. Make the entirety of the finale be from the viewer's perspective. And whenever Blick Winkel talks, there will be onscreen subtitles for dialogue.

You ever try Root Double: Before Crime, After Days? It’s one of the reasons why I played this game because it was interesting. I recommend it if you haven’t.
Can you believe Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was released around the events of this visual novel? Both even involve a main character sacrificing himself for another!
Well that is assuming they put into 6 different stories. they might do a single arc that covers everything, and probably ends with tsugumixTakanashi since that would be required to make the story complete. But if the did that I would Pissed off Big time. That ruins the story so much. I think they could pull of Merging the two main Arcs for each character but the Coco route would be a bit dificult to do . . .
Many years later, I hope we will be able to count Root Double among the pantheon of "Infinity games" - Never7, Ever17, Remember11, 12Riven - and why not include I/O and the Steins;gate verse too ^^
They're called Infinity because they're part of the same series, not just because they're good VNs. S;G, I/O, and ZE have no relation to the Infinity Series.
Unless if they were planning to cover everything in multiple seasons Higurashi-style, they won't be able to cover every arc. It's either they find the budget for that (which is likely out of the question), or they do a condensed adaption of the VN. Either way, it'll likely end up disappointing the fan base. If anything, we'll have to wait and see how the manga adaption turns out, how well it's selling, and then we'll have an idea if it'll get adapted at all and what direction it'll take.

世の中には神ゲーと呼ばれるものが無数に存在するが，ほとんどは過大評価
本当の神ゲーというのは，このEver17のような作品のことを言う
真実がわかった時はもの凄い衝撃を受けたし，もの凄く感動した
remember11とかは物語自体はever17よりも面白かったけど、未完成のせいで迷作になってしまった
ever17は鏡の中の自分が別の誰かって辺りで一気に引き込まれた

今見ると細かな設定やラストまでの尺の長さといった粗こそあるものの、最後の爽快感はほんとに最高クラスのゲームだった。このゲームだけは記憶を消してやり直したいわ。

My first VN ever played which made me play even more VNs. Yeah, some routes were a bit confusing, but still one of my top VNs.

You ever try Root Double: Before Crime, After Days? It’s one of the reasons why I played this game because it was interesting. I recommend it if you haven’t.
I prefer Steins;Gate honestly. The characters and the tension are better. Not to demean Ever 17.

ADVは最近の子にはシュタインズゲートが評価されるけど、自分は断然こっちだなぁー
シュタゲのいいところはわかりやすいところだからね。世界線という言葉しかり、本来理解が難しいはずのジャンルをわかりやすく説明してるという点ではシュタゲはトップ。そのてんエバセブは難しい単語や要素を盛りだくさんに詰め込んで、さらにそれを応用してるから理解するのが難しい作品。物語に慣れてない人にはきついレベル。ただ、これを理解できた時の衝撃では断然こっちのほうがレベル高い。そもそもシュタゲとエバセブはジャンルが違うと思うわ

あとちょっと明らかにやりすぎてる設定とかなんでもあり感があるのがちょっと
同じ系統なら車輪の国の方がギミックとしてはever17のよりも下だと思ったけど男から女まで魅力的なキャラも多く心に残る話だったし感動もできた
ever17はその点ギミック以外称賛できる点がないので9割5分のつまらないストーリーを見て1割の答え合わせ楽しむものになってるのが微妙かな
