Sean, Have you ever done a show on Bill Foley, VGK owner and his philosophy. That would be an interesting topic. His philosophy I find refreshing. He is not a billionaire sports team owner that has a team in their golden years as a hobby. It's a business. And when in business, you want to win. After his successful financial business career, He started he focused on sports team ownership, wine vineyard and leasure resort business'. His goal is to have a successful leasure business. Regarding VGK, he believes ALL players are replaceable. They are commodities! I love his philosophy. Listen to the mans interviews.. He explains why he does not believe in "rebuilds" with VGK/sports teams. Because that means losing. He always wants his teams to be competitive and will make trades, accordingly. Owner and President and GM on same page. The players, coaches, admin all love him and are treated very well, but at the same time they all understand they must pull in the same direction. Work hard and buy into the culture of winning. I remember in 2016, Bill Foley said his team will be the Vegas Valley's team and being competitive and winning will be the organizations culture. Front office, players, coaches, admin, PR all must fit into a certain character model. Another thing about Foley. He never asked for tax dollars. Never took public money for VGK . And T-Mobile is all private money. Foley being part owner of T-Mobile. That is how you get support from the community regarding sports teams. The Las Vegas Raiders and future MLB Las Vegas A's took public tax dollars for stadium builds.
Seattle works extremely hard... But they have no finishers to put the pucks in the net. Vegas works extremely hard... And they have finishers to put the pucks in the net. Vegas' hard work produces results that win games. Seattle's hard work produces nothing but frustration. For players and fans. Two teams built differently. One wins and has a SC already. The other plays "the right way" but has nothing to show for it. Seattle needs to make a trade for a real scorer or two. Else they'll just keep treading water. No matter how hard they swim. ☹️ PS: Kraken are one of the teams I like. But reality is what it is.
@rona6063 VGK Owner and GM built a better team than Seattle using trades and UFAs and getting the right kind of players. Thinking it was just the draft is old school rationalization. Which is great. The more other teams continue to think old school, the better for VGK. 👍
@zenobiakdithers3150 Vegas acquired 11 draft picks during the expansion draft as well as Shea Theodore as a throw-in for not taking certain players. Seattle didn't get the chance to do the same because the offers were not there the second time around because everyone learned their lesson. An argument can be made, Vegas might have mismanged their roster and picks since then.
@zenobiakdithers3150 doesnt change they have been the worst drafting team maybe in the NHL since their arrival. They have no first round picks until 2027, and they are not drafting well enough in later rounds to cover for this and they will pay for it in the future. What is their trade capital this deadline?
At this point you cannot convince me that both of those goalie interference calls against Colorado during their game versus Montreal were not retaliatory. In both cases, Montreal players cause the Avalanche player to knock the goalie over and in both cases Colorado gets the penalty. Particularly the first one. That was an egregious call. Colton is literally throwing on the brakes, his skates are completely perpendicular to his direction, and he gets completely up-ended and shoved into the goalie by Hudson. Not to mention on both calls there was an imminent scoring chance. And yet miraculously in the previous game, a Colorado player causes a buffalo player to fall into our goalie and not only do they not blow the play dead, but they watch as our goalie is writhing in pain in the crease just laying there and they allow play to continue and buffalo scores. I am sick and tired of referees in this league dictating the game with horrible calls and having zero accountability.
NHL officiating where you can have a player shoved in the net, a goalie gets injured and play doesn't stop resulting in a goal one night, then the next 2 players get shoved into a goalie by the opposing team and both times it gets called for goalie interference. Avs are getting shit officiating the rest of the season cause Bedsy complained huh? Truly fucking sick of the zebras right now.
Flames are an embarrassment. They'll end up with the lowest GF in the league. Worst part is they lost their 1st round draft pick to Montreal with the Monahan trade, so it doesn't matter how bad this gets, it won't help. Flames are going to be a laughing stock soon .
Pretty pissed off as a jets fan. We've got one of the easiest January schedule with alot of home games, and they do this, as if the loss against Anaheim wasn't bad enough. If they lose Tuesdays game against Nashville I hope they lose like 7-1. Blowouts seem to wake teams up
A couple days after Bednar complains about the injury to Wedgewood, his team gets not 1 but 2 goalie interference penalties in the same game, he doesn't care about goalie safety, just his team's goalie
Um are we not going to mention the fact that Matthews dove and Pool cue stick the ENG? Or are u just mad Boston lost? (Im kidding just having a little fun with someone I know is a Bruins fan)
I can't wait to see how he's going to justify keeping the Leafs out of the top 5 in the power rankings this week. They're 5th in the league, leading their division, on a 3 game winning streak, and 7-3 in their last 10. Yet somehow he'll rank NJ, who is on a 4 game losing streak, ahead of the Leafs
Agree with other that Minny only up 1 spot makes zero sense. Takes longer to get up than it does to fall. Perhaps his Minny ranking has something to do with Canada exiting the World Juniors early ONCE AGAIN and the US is playing for gold with 8 Minnesotans on their roster ;)
@@TheHockeyGuy But the rankings are supposedly weighted more on what they did this past week? What have the Wild done their past 6 games. They are 5 and 1.
☹️
PS: Kraken are one of the teams I like. But reality is what it is.
The rest of the league learned their lesson when the second expansion draft came. Vegas was gifted a much better team.
@@rona6063 Mismanaged right to a SC and best record in the league right now.
@zenobiakdithers3150 doesnt change they have been the worst drafting team maybe in the NHL since their arrival. They have no first round picks until 2027, and they are not drafting well enough in later rounds to cover for this and they will pay for it in the future. What is their trade capital this deadline?
Edmundson returned to the bench late in the game but he did not play.
When will the pain stop in Buffalo? 🙄
When the sun rises in the west, and sets in the east.
Carolina needs to figure it out.
The Leafs discipline is impressive lately. Normally in a game vs the Bruins you'd see multiple penalties from them.
Need to ge that hat
Seattle traded borgen away and I think that was a mistake.
Kings need to go after one of Vancouver’s centers
Yeah we ain't giving you shit 😂.
Why if the Kings need a pylon they can just grab one from the parking lot 🤣🤣
No cap space, i would prefer Zibanejad for that matter but same problem ...
To all the doubters of the Red Wing Vengeance Tour, I would just like to say: ha ha
The Wings are looking better but the new coach bounce is a real thing. Let’s see how they look 20 games in.
@@JeffKing310 Moritz Seider sends his regards
@JeffKing310 every single team that's fired a coach recently plays against the jets within 3 weeks of doing so and every time they win
Flames are an embarrassment. They'll end up with the lowest GF in the league. Worst part is they lost their 1st round draft pick to Montreal with the Monahan trade, so it doesn't matter how bad this gets, it won't help. Flames are going to be a laughing stock soon .
Habs 5 game road trip They go 4-1 beat Vegas Tampa Florida And Colorado who’d they lose to that’s right CHICAGO 😭
LA is a wagon
Pretty pissed off as a jets fan. We've got one of the easiest January schedule with alot of home games, and they do this, as if the loss against Anaheim wasn't bad enough. If they lose Tuesdays game against Nashville I hope they lose like 7-1. Blowouts seem to wake teams up
LGRW
Hyry is pronounced "hoo-roo," it's Finnish
A couple days after Bednar complains about the injury to Wedgewood, his team gets not 1 but 2 goalie interference penalties in the same game, he doesn't care about goalie safety, just his team's goalie
Um are we not going to mention the fact that Matthews dove and Pool cue stick the ENG? Or are u just mad Boston lost? (Im kidding just having a little fun with someone I know is a Bruins fan)
Go leafs go is always nice too beat bruins doesn't happen often
Leafs Superior to Boston
Arttu “Hyry” is pronounced Huru
I can't wait to see how he's going to justify keeping the Leafs out of the top 5 in the power rankings this week. They're 5th in the league, leading their division, on a 3 game winning streak, and 7-3 in their last 10. Yet somehow he'll rank NJ, who is on a 4 game losing streak, ahead of the Leafs
He explains his criteria on how he ranks…
Don’t like it? Don’t watch. Go make your own rankings
It is pronounced HOO ROO,, Not hi ri ,, so its ARTOO HOO ROO.
Minnesota is just 5-5 in their last ten.
@@TheHockeyGuy But the rankings are supposedly weighted more on what they did this past week? What have the Wild done their past 6 games. They are 5 and 1. Come on Shannon, picking and choosing where to cut off the stat line just to support a ranking? But this is your baby. Just come up with a better explanation please.
Shootout and OT wins get less of a bump than regulation wins. Teams in that range of the board had good weeks. Dallas has four wins in a row and went from 14 to 12.
As much as Dobes is playing, the habs should still sign jones or Dell
why?
Kochetkov can ride that struggle bus back to the AHL. Give it to Tok for now, and look for a back up
Tell me you didn’t watch without telling me you didn’t watch.
Can’t win games without scoring. Maybe send Svech, Necas and KK to the AHL first. Completely useless. If you blame Kochetkov for defensive lapses, coming up against multiple breakaways, you’re insane.
Go suck an egg
Carolina sucks
Locker room cancer with a 1 goal 1 ast 2 point knight
