Hometown. Born and raised. Worked as a Security officer at Culvers Midtown years. I worked in security all over Milwaukee. I know this pain, as a parent of a murdered child. I know this all too well. Thank you!
I was born and raised in Milwaukee 1963. ( I'm a Babyboomer) 53206 was my zip code. Milwaukee was the cleanest low crime city in the country in the 60s & 70s. It wasn't until the 80s when the Crack epidemic hit when Milwaukee took a turn for the worst. Multitudes of Crack babies born every where. Drugs has taken over. People moving in from Chicago, Gary and other places to take advantage of the cities liberal food stamp program and more. I moved to Atlanta in 2010 to get out the cold. Best move ever! I hate what Milwaukee has become but I'll alway love it because all of my best memories are there. Hate visiting because it feels so dark when I come. Painful movie to watch especially when I saw the block I grew up on in the mix of it all. Thanks for sharing the movie. Our people must do better. 😔
I was born and raised in the 53206 & still live here as i speak. Milwaukee most definitely go like this. Not a fan of the actors or story line. However i can say. Living anywhere in Milwaukee u will see family betrayal, best friend since knee high betrayal, teenagers stealing cars to commit murder, robbery, high speeds for the heck of it, Women dating men that beat they kids to death because they insecure, Mothers clubing with they daughters & bring men home together to have 3sums, fathers selling dope to they sons like he no one different. Kidnappings found in burning garbage, graves in random backwards. I can go on & on. This movie just the nice version of Milwaukee. Honestly ask Jeffrey Duhmer how many people he ate in his apartment.
Being from London, I love hood movies but I like hood movies with a story not just random shooting. This was a brilliant movie with a message. R.I.P to all them names.
All that sanging yep, sanging had me fast forwarding to the next scene. Good story line and the first time actors were great. I was born and raised in Milwaukee and grew up in the 53206. 27th and Burleigh looks so dilapidated and sad it was so nice back in the 70's. I left Milwaukee in 2003. I am so sad that I am afraid to even visit.
Great job . Great message full of substance . A story that strikes a chord . I hope your film serves as a deterrent towards violence in our communities. Keep going . ~ Mecca Willow
I'm from Milwaukee grew up all over the city and we stayed at Moody Park growing up! I'm glad to see this is out💗💗💗 unfortunately it's sad but accurate 😔 (from my perspective)
Not everybody can be - famous real rich and got stabilized family with love - Money is troubling in families. The needs” is always leveled up! And jealousy from “friends and neighbors “ are sucking you in to problems. Too little money or too much money is ruined families. When do you know when you got exact what you need so it’s time for feeling it’s okay to be satisfied and spending time with your family , creating love instead of working more and miss the opportunity for a loving family ? Bc you can’t have both in your life. When a family go rich the children start spending all money on shit - things they don’t need and even start using drugs. That’s what lot of money do to families. To be rich quickly the young start selling drugs. They are not talking about how impossible it is to stay out of jail or the possibility of dying and nobody tells them about being robbed - bc street people OR the community (cops) will robb you if business going good ! Someone ALWAYS snitching on you! It’s the same all around the world and have been so for the last century! Jealousy-snitching-mammon god-evil spirits-lack of love .
Shit decent frfr. But I wish they filmed it in the real metcalfe park. This gotta be Racine or something. That authentic ghetto feeling of the area they are replicating is hard to replicate.

The ending was the saddest part of the movie.
"Save our streets"
"Stop the gun violence"
"Make better decisions"

the acting was horrible, but the message was good. well done.
Thank you! They were all first time actors from Milwaukee.
Good
So I’m assuming Robbie died in the film???
So basically this depicted that all this death happened over weed and drugs. Thats the reason for all the violence there? Jus fighting over drugs?
🤡 WHY y'all gotz ta be Killin each other ? G
