It serves as a stark illustration of the lack of coordination between different departments. With over 2000+ flats and numerous upcoming projects, this road has become an unimaginable nightmare for the residents.
We now need to hold accountable the concerned authorities on timelines. Else road expansion and white topping etc this will just remain a distant pipe dream.
This road extends from Kanakapura Main Road to Mallasandra village and falls under Hemmigepura ward. There are over 2500 flats along this road, as well as major schools like Kumarans and KSITC Engineering College. Numerous school buses, water tankers, and heavy construction vehicles use this road, along with guests visiting Holiday Village resort. Currently, the road exists only in records, and what remains is a passage filled with mud and dust. The road disappeared long ago due to various works. Even when repaired, it is cut open again within six months for other works. For the past four months, we have been enduring dust and returning home after work covered in a brown layer.We request the authorities to promptly address this issue and expedite the road construction to bring an end to this situation.
Seems politicians least bothered about apartment residents problems, because we don't speak up. Since 6 month road condition is extremely worst, health issues like allergy, breathing issues are raising up because of heavy dust, auto people are charging high because of bad road, two wheeler riders are struggling like anything, apart from this we are not getting e-khatha facility as everyone gets. But we will definitely show the power during election. Keep in mind.
Worst worst experience, the digging is forever and its done by utmost unprofessional labours / supervisors. Digging is done so badly and post digging the remains are just leftover for residents like us to face every single day. As this is the only approach road we residents have no option left to travel or not take this road. This is very disappointing situation that even after such a so called stable government and so called leader things like this are futile attempt!! While taking this road there are many gated societies of branded developers but still no use. Anyway looks like this will never be fixed permanently, at-least thanks to the concerned news channel of thinking to cover this as a news item and addressing it in the media.
All manholes overflow due to constant digging. Rains are dreaded the most here as the slushy roads are a death trap. The vehicles from 2000 odd flats and nearly 100 school buses ply on this narrow road every day. Peak hour traffic jams are common. There is no alternative road. The road leading to Anjanapura is also destroyed by digging and heavy trucks carrying construction material. This is a "model constituency" where every agency wants to keep working, be it BWSSB, KPTCL, BESCOM for UGD, cauvery water, utility duct and what not. Sadly, there is no road for them to dig any more. There is frequent disruption of wifi and d2h services in the area owing to snapped cables. One cannot walk, cycle or ride a two wheeler as they might get killed as road rage due to frustration is real. the road. You need skill and tonnes of patience to drive a car on this stretch. I doubt if the MLA ST Somashekar knows the route to this road. During elections, he somehow manages to reach the gated communities using the Google map, for a chit chat!
