So funny that "dont say anything negative about your husband for 30 days" is a revolutionary challenge to some women. Just shows you how jaded and lost women are with their own self-importance and their own need to control people and have things go exactly their way all the time.

I love this book and such an eye opener.
As I listened to Jeff’s testimony of how Shaunti gives him encouragement and support I was thinking “that’s me, that’s what I want” and I’m a woman. I’ve always known that my way of thinking and perceiving things doesn’t align with the stereotypical woman’s, and this entire episode continues to confirm that.

What is shocking to me is that supposedly loving moms are doing all those horrible things to their sons ALL THE TIME.
I stopped to visit my sister because she would laugh and joke about her 3 years old son in his presence.
It's typical.
In the same time she was convinced that she is loving and empathic. Nope
I couldn't handle that so I stopped to meet with her.
Some women want to take the smarter leadership role, and have a one up on the husband. An independent controlling woman can cause the husband to pull back & withdraw in that relationship. He builds up the wife while she would want to outsmart him to prove herself thus, indirectly knocking him down emotionally.
I heard one woman shortly after they were married tell her husband “ what did I do getting married”.? OUCH! What if he told her that? A promise was made to love him in the wedding vows. Such negative comments knock down and not build up. So we women need to walk the talk of respecting our husbands and watch our words.

I bought this book and 've read about 50 pages of this book so far. Was really hoping for the best. I wouldn't hand this to my wife if my life depended on it. Sounds like the interviews were based on gay men or emotional men raised by single women.....It's insulting how degrading this book is to men. We don't need a mommy figure for a wife. Women respect their bosses, and men in every other level or position in life. Its disgusting that women have to be coerced into respecting someone they supposedly "love." when they can show respect and obey harsh bosses in the business place.......The only thing that it seems women need to be taught or untaught, is how to quit being rebellious.....I don't agree with anything I have read so far. Even your interviews with you husband and father. You don't needa understand someone to show them respect. You just needa be a decent human being. Even lost people can be decent. It's a shame , christian women that are supposed to be set apart are so intermingled in the world that you can't even tell the difference any more. Another disappointing book that reminds me why I just stick to the Bible.
