Hindistan serimizin bu videosunda Kerala kıyılarını ve Kochi şehrini dolaşıyoruz.
Kochi 3000 yıllık bir liman kenti, tarihinde bir çok ulusla ticari faaliyetleri dolayısıyla hep çok kültürlü, ve kozmopolit bir yapısı olagelmiş.
Çinliler balık ağlarını, Araplar kendi adetlerini ve en önemlisi Islam’ ı getirmişler. Portekizliler Avrupa medeniyeti ve Katolik inancını, Yahudiler ise ilk tek tanrı inancını ve ticareti.
Yaklaşık 3000 yıl önce Yahudiler, Yaruşalim’ in ikinci düşüşünden sonra dünyaya dağıldıklarında Kochi şehri de bir ticaret limanı olması hasebiyle bu Yahudi göçünden nasibini almış.
Bu göç dalgasını sonrasında İber yarımadasındaki “Reconquista” ve “Inquisition” hareketleri beslemiş ama gelin görün ki bu 3000 yıllık tarih bir inat uğruna son günlerini yaşıyor.
Temiz Yahudi kanını koruma ülküsüyle yerel halkla evlenmeyi ve karışmayı reddeden ve sadece kendi içinde evlenen yahudiler bu ülkü uğruna şu an sadece ölülerini gömüyor, cemaate katılan hiçbir yeni üye olmaksızın.

In this video of our India series, we travel around the Kerala coast and the city of Kochi.
Kochi is a 3000-year-old port city and has always had a multicultural and cosmopolitan structure due to its commercial activities with many nations.
The Chinese brought fishing nets, the Arabs brought their own customs and most importantly Islam. The Portuguese profess European civilization and the Catholic faith, the Jews the first monotheism and trade.
About 3000 years ago, when the Jews dispersed to the world after the second fall of Jerusalem, the city of Kochi also got its share from this Jewish immigration because it was a trading port.
After this migration wave, the "Reconquista" and "Inquisition" movements in the Iberian peninsula fed, but let's see that this 3000-year-old history is living its last days for the sake of stubbornness.
The Jews, who refused to marry and mix with the local people with the ideal of preserving pure Jewish blood, and married only within themselves, are now burying their dead only for the sake of this ideal, without any new members joining the community.
