    Keep in mind, the Five stars are based on my needs for this item ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS When I first bought the bike I was going to return it immediately. After trying it out for several days/weeks I came to realize it is actually perfect for WHY I bought it.This is not a workout, the resistance is, eh, it makes a bit of noise, not loud, and it isn’t very stable even with the mat. The mat certainly keeps the bike from sliding but nothing keeps the mat from sliding (if that makes any sense, lol). Mine is place on my hard wood floor. Maybe it would be better with a rug underneath??I sit for long hours for work and wanted something to keep my legs moving. This bike does exactly that! For the price it is amazing, it is compact, easy to use, light weight, keeps track of time, calories etc (not sure how accurate it is) but good little product. I am happy with it.

    I use a Pivot Fitness FSM-200 which is basically the same but completely plate loaded. They also have a FSM-400 that comes with weight stacks. The cost of the FSM-200 is a third of a Force USA G20 and the cost of the FSM-400 is half of the G20.

    I bought a G6 in July for space very specific space reasons and love it. You can do everything and it is a 2:1 pulley. Since the 2:1 halfs the 220 stack I did have to get a stack pin from Bare Steel to add more weight for lats and rows but would still rather have that 2:1 as the range you get on the cable is insane.

    • @Bikes_and_Hacks
      @Bikes_and_Hacks Месяц назад

      The 2024 G20 V2 with the lat extension is absolutely perfect with the 2:1 in front cables and 1:1 in the lat.
      But it's freaking expensive.
      If you have the space for it (and can afford it) an ATX or Powertec lat machine 1:1 with weight stacks is the perfect addition for you.
      I'm seriously considering the G3 V2 plate loaded and the powertec lat machine with the weight stack, as those 2 together are still cheaper than the G6 and can have a lot of cable range with the 2:1, and a lot of weight for row and lat with the powertec lat machine.

    I was hoping for this review a year ago but glad to see it finally happened. I bought the G20 about 6 months ago and love it. One thing that I've disliked is the leg press attachment can get dangerous quick since there are no safety mechanisms to keep it from turning completely horizontal and turning into a guillotine if it slips.
    Also, not sure how you put a full work week into building this. Out of all of my gym equipment, this probably did take the most time to build, but from start to finish only took 6 hours for me alone. The instructions weren't the best and they would definitely benefit from a 3d build on an app or something like furniture, but it was still easy enough to follow along once you get a groove.

    about time! I sold my truck before we military PCS to Germany. So I bought this and brought it over. Unfortunately I couldn't put it in the basement of our German home, so our living room is our Gym. That being said. I love it. I do agree the cable pull length sucks, and the price is whatever you consider the value of everything. I think its worth it. I got the free olympic bar and I paid for the lat pull down machine. The spacing for the plates on back were not meant for bumper plates, so I have bumper plates on every other peg, that's kind of annoying. However, love this thing. Took me about 10 hours by myself to build.

    I bought this thing along with the low row lat pull down attachment. I bought it because of space limitations but had I know then about Ares coming out I definitely would have held out and waited for Ares. For starters it doesn't take 35 hours to put together. Sorry Sam. I put it together by myself over the course of a weekend, about 8 maybe 9 hours per day, however having a friend to help would have made it a lot easier. I don't think it would have saved much time but it definitely would have been easier. The rack arrived first then about a month later the attachment arrived. That took about 6 hours or so to put together only because I had to disable parts of the main rack.
    Overall the rack itself is adequate but I don't think it's worth the price. With the LR/LP attachment I paid 7K. The hardware comes shrink wrapped against a piece of cardboard with a cheap wrench. Reminds me of hardware that comes with some build at home furniture. Maybe I'm biased and spoiled being that I was expecting similar hardware to what came with my Rogue Monster LITE rack 5/8 inch hardware. I can't imagine comparing it to the Monster 1 inch hardware.
    The directions are ok but the illustrations are awful. You will spend a lot of time trying to figure out what hole to insert the hardware in. It comes with a bunch of accessory handles but they are just cheap quality, lite weight powder coated crap. To help shed some perspective, the 2 globe pull up bar attachments as well as the multi grip attachment that comes with, all 3 together weigh less that my Rogue Globe ML attachment. The jay cups, mono-lifts and spotter arms are beyond disappointing.
    I think the only place where Force didn't cheap out is with the weight stacks but as Coop said, the cables and pulleys are "aaah".
    Another thing to be mindful of is the freight company Force used to deliver it to me. I live in Long Island NY. I don't know if it was the same for anyone else but the freight company sent 1 person to make the delivery. I had to help the driver off-load 4 insanely heavy boxes. Again for 7K you'd think Force would make sure the freight company they contract would send enough man-power to handle unloading the boxes from their truck.
    As I already mentioned overall it's adequate, I give a C+/B- but for 7K my expectation was A++++++. Knowing then what I know now especially that the Rep Ares is available now, I would not have bought this. Actually, I'm trying to sell it so I can get the Ares.
    In the end, I feel Force cheaped out to increase their profit margins.

    The 1:1 cable ratio would be a dealbreaker for me and should be for most people. Back in my mainstream gym days, I had no idea about cable ratios but I knew the lat pulldown machines were extremely irritating to use for cable work when the dual cable cross machine was in use. Even when I halved the weight, the movement just wasn’t smooth, usually at the beginning of the lift. It wasn’t that the cables were bad or anything, it was just the feel of the machine was off, it wasn’t a constant tension. I realize now it’s the ratio that was the problem. I can’t imagine doing lateral shoulder raises or other light work with the ratio.

    Zero desire for 2:1 pulley ratio on my G20 weight stacks. Love the 1:1 ratio and not having to add weight to the stack just to use 180lbs. And it’s easy enough to add chain after the handle if more length is needed.

    • @bernardlane4517
      @bernardlane4517 8 месяцев назад

      2:1 is better if your not particularly strong as you might not be able to do certain exercises even on the lowest weight with 1:1 and also 2:1 is defo smoother to use and yes you get a longer length 😅. Errm cable 😁.

    Most people who hate Smith machines only hate them because they've been told to hate them. Of course there are some movements that don't work terribly well on a Smith machine, but they are excellent tools for many things

    Glad you guys came out with this video! I have the G20 with Lat Row station. Yes I love it. Yes it is not perfect. Safeties should have UHMW not rubber. Actually ordered a second set of safeties to do band work from above (as well as second set of Reps band pegs) during pressing and still have safety below. Don't use the weight stack metal housings. Looks cooler IMHO and I can see where the pin is from about any angle. Can also add "stuff" to the stack easier. Works great with my Henny too. Smith machine works Absolutely fabulously as a belt squat standing on my 12 or 24 inch plyo stands using Spuds adjustable belt squat belt. ruclips.net/video/cmMjq9nnkEY/видео.html This video is before I removed all stack housings.

      LOL, seen one of your videos. All of that equipment and still you look like you don't work out. Amazing, I look better at 63 and I have a cheapy squat rack ,bench and one inch plates. All of the fancy gym equipment doesn't build muscle. And clipping a belt to a bar while standing on 2 platforms to do a squat is the the stu.... pidest thing that lve seen.

      @@carlstair4863 Really?! OK now I have questions lol. Have you used the banana clip for lat pull downs? How smooth is it? If you are at extremely light weight does the selector rod hit the top of the weight stack? I ask because SO MANY PEOPLE have complained about the Rogue selector rod tilting a little and making an annoying sound as it dings the top outer circle of the top plate.

      I don't know, man. I've been looking forward to this review. This one ends up being on par with a very full home gym for a price that actually works out cheaper than buying the components separately.

      @@deadapostle people could definitely do a lot worse. Stevie Richards compares a lot of the different models of Force USA and has a 5% off code. Someone should probably watch a lot of his reviews because he feels some of them are too narrow(?) or something like that. Seems like a good/honest dude.
