Did you not read the update notes,or even the road map,the game was started in 2016 so it may not seem like it but it’s a big game the devs have to boot up when they have to update plus they’re working on other games anyway
Oh man, I remember when the neon faction was the bigg update. Unlike any other. It introduced new troops and most importantly, a whole new map. And I think UI updated then as well. So good to see this iconic strategy game still being worked on and updated

Fun fact: If you used a mod to access the hidden projectiles, you could make units with laser guns, like a early access thing I also made a faction that had a neon gatling gun along with a shield. The neon gatling gun didn't load, but the shield did! (In the vanilla game)
TABS was the goat back then. I remember i was super mad when they completely removed the old reaper because i LOVED how he straight up penetrated enemies with spikes from hell.

The reason why your ranged units are backing up is because the first page on the unit creator with the voices and stuff, there is a toggle button that switches between melee and ranged unit, and it is set to melee at default so it usually gets overlooked from time to time.

You don't have to follow the old costs, since many units from before had their costs bumped up. So to balance the Neon Faction, just increase the cost since they are too good.
You know what missing in these tabs videos battle. Back in the old day people would leave there suggestion for actual battle with actual strategy and not just spamming one mod unit that what make it so entertaining to watch as u slow mode on one side and watch it again on the other side that what make tabs so good to watch in the old day and i still love them

Tbh I doubt you’ll see this, but I reckon you should play Foxhole again. You did 4 videos of it 6 years ago, and since then an absolute ton has changed. War 110 on Able, with a ton of regions to travel to. But never forget, Colonials are better.

You can stop the ranger from running away by changing the movement on the first page of the unit editor
They always walk back if they have a ranged weapon

If you change the movement type to melee they will try to walk right up to the enemy so that's even worse.
