- This band is AMAZING! Only my second time hearing them and I'm blown away. mixing modern elements with traditional ethnic music from their native Siberia, Otyken is a force. :ove the videos also- incredible natural scenery.

I would recommend Khan Blues by Otyken. Just a fun song and video. Once again with beautiful scenery, including the lovely ladies.

Otyken [O-tu-k`en] is definitely one of the best Russian "modern folk" bands. Their texts are in Khakass, Chulym, Dolgan and Russian languages.
Otyken: Azyan - vocals; Ach - keyboard, throat singing; Kunchari - igil (two string cello); Otamay - khomuz (two/three string guitar); Tsveta - vargan (aka mouth harp, jaw harp), drums, khomuz, vocals; Maya - drums; Hakaida - bass-drums; Aiko (Muna from this year) - bass guitar; Sandro - rattling, muttering, dancing.

You managed to pick both my most liked, and least liked OTYKEN songs.
"Phenomenon" is hands-down my fave of theirs, and "Legend", my least. The problem for me with "Legend" is that the lyrics are incredibly shallow -- basically her saying that Aiden is the best because he gave her some bling. Otherwise, the music and singing are top-notch.
