I've got the same sharpener! But mine is by Work Sharp. Is this another HORL vs Tumbler thing? In that case, HORL was the patented original roll sharpener. A bit later, I start seeing these very flashy ads for the Tumbler roll sharpener. It was identical to the HORL. On the Work Sharp version, you rotate a wheel to close the jaws on the knife spine. On this thing, you go to a cruder screw you have to tighten with a screwdriver. Clumsy.
You literally took material off the whole blade, not just the edge like youre supposed to 😂😂😂 we can see that you took of the pattern in the middle 😂 all that angle finder stuff wont do you any good, if you dont know which angle is the right one for the tool in front of you 😂

The brand work sharp makes a model just like this for around $50 and truthfully I think this sharpener is a clone of the work sharp, I can personally recommend the work sharp model as it has given me mirror finishes on my edges

Just about anything can take an edge...its how long can the material hold an edge. I sharpened pure lead to an edge for one pass through paper🤔

This is not how you want to use this device, long sweeping strokes going the length of the blade, this is a real good way to get an uneven edge
