they were using a comma neo on one! :D
The technology for autonomous vehicles is available. What's left is safety.
This is so cool! Seeing this inspires me and makes me smile!
what are the spec and the kind of computers are they using for programming.
Mr Bill Gates, want to solve Water scarcity in Africa ? Go to this warehouse.
Wow, FormulaPi looks awesome! Super inspiring that anyone can make their own self-driving RC car for less than $100 :o
I can totally agree, development is at a higher stage mentality in creation mode of fun is added. Cool vid. Later.
so much water in that warehouse aaaaah!
OpenCV Tensorflow w/ Raspi interfacing to controller
Anyone can point me how to run comma openpilot for RC Car? Thanks
How does AI and machine learning is used in car navigation?, would geometric analysis help in determining when to turn and make smoother turns?
absolutely why wouldn't it? if an AI could study a turn , coupled with real time vehicle data, it could take a turn, PERFECTLY with almost 0 hickup , with proper engineering or enough time for the AI to learn .
Why they dont give credit to comma.ai
Would definitely be interesting to load the open source software and run it on these RC cars to compare just how much better it is.
anyone know how to built auto pilot for rc car ?????
THIS IS AWESOME
Laziness has no limits for the looks of it.
Some dude that connected the comma ai box is million steps ahead
Interesting!
Can anyone let me know what's the team name whose car pic is in thumbnail?
Nishant Singh I don't know the name but all they are doing is running comma neo by comma.ai anyone can build that.
shit it's mr.anderson
Sat Kum Neo?
very cool
Only the one which has comma neo on it runs and they don't even talk about comma.ai
Don't think those prototypes are really cheap..... traxxas slash isn't cheap
Gmpisawesome compared to a full-size car they are. And there are plenty of people who "trade up" and sell off their slash for different models. Heck, I've got most of a Slash that I've only got $30 into. just needs shocks, and a speed controller/motor.
Stephen that's true, and safer too.
Wow! 4:28 without saying anything!
“Affordable” not “cheap”
3:10 Wow, that software girl can get employed all around the world, any corporation or state for the next 50 years, as much as medical doctors.
I get the logic, but as a mortal I think safety is the main priority. Cars aren't drones. Just compare car deaths with drone deaths over the last year. Hell, has there even been a single quadcopter-related death ever ?
Still, I wish you good luck. Maybe miniature self driving cars will find applications we can't think of today.
Seriously you can't proclaim that this is your work. You are using George Hotz creation and his team Comma Neo Ai device. 2:58 it says right there only upside down. It is an open source, but you need to give credit to them.

Cheap? Anyone of the rc's cost at least 300$
NE Bushcraft that's pretty cheap
Pretty cheap if you ask me. You probably haven't tried messing around with RC cars.
Two things.
1. You're actually wrong. The cars depicted here cost around $200 to $300 (not including additional electronics), but you can get an ECX for half that. Heck, for these purposes you could probably even get away with an Exceed or Redcat, since you're not pushing the vehicle too hard. Alternatively, if you have a 3D printer you can instead just use one of the OpenRC designs.
2. $300 is actually pretty cheap for hobby-grade RC cars. I've sunk over $1500 into my 1/8th scale buggy.
Is this an old video? I thought that 3DR drones were defunct? Or did I miss something?
+Dr_Boom
They're still around, they just don't have a consumer-grade model anymore and seem to only make commercial drones now. They probably got priced out of the consumer market by DJI and Horizon Hobbies.
I see an Indian there 😀
BOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!
No, it's quite interesting.
Do you have the attention span of a nat
Is it a thing to wear dirty hats? They are gross
Will Sirius it's a NASA hat tho!
If I see an autonomous car from Google driving down the street, it will have an accident. Nobody has thought about the problems when an autonomous car has a flat tire. Only a human is able to transition to be able to control a car when there is a failure of the mechanical controls. These cars are neat curiosities and it is patently cancerous to have these operating on public roads. They aren't "neat" or "cool", they are deadly because cars break, and computers can't deal with the failure of a part for which there is no sensor. As long as they are only toys, used on private land, should they be legal. What if a terrorist puts a bomb in one? What will the computer do then?
Dude be careful your tin foil hat fell off!
Uncle, are you off your meds again? The doctor said you need to take them, they aren't poisonous.
Wait who let the basement door open?
"I like to write random fiction and believe it's real!"
Ever heard of TPMS? It's tire pressure monitoring system. These self driving cars can be constantly monitoring pressure for changes (as well as all the other sensors), and if it detects a rapid decrease in pressure in one of the tires, the car could apply the correct amount of steering input to keep the car in its lane, until it's able to pull over.
