    Instead of tea bags, add 1-2 small dry amla pieces. Tea leaves reduces nutritional value of chickpeas. Amla boosts nutritional value, color and taste as well.

    • @jbvibrations
      @jbvibrations 4 года назад +31

      The teabags and baking soda are used to change pH, which allows garbanzo to cook all the way through. Otherwise they’ll never fully cook. Not merely for color. Sure, Amla has vitamin C which will boost iron absorption, but it won’t solve the pH issue. So do both. The vitamin C should outcompete the polyphenols in the tea (which is what reduces iron absorption) ..

I have a brand new one but it seems to even cook eggs, i have to rotate between 3 butane cans. Its Like they freeze up and even though there is fuel, the flame goes almost to simmer even if on high. Is there any tricks in using this type of burner? I like the heat output and portability of it.
