This is a major blocker for creating an effective Knowledge Base application even for individual Sites. Have you come across a model for preprocessing all of SharePoint and other application repositories to circumvent this?
That's some great explanation. Doesn't the sharepoint as kowledge base support excel files yet? It is not in the listed sources, but we can upload a file as knowledge base. So is there still a restriction when the file is actually in Sharepoint?
