Hi: I am kind of newer sewer. I made your 10 minute table runner. It took me about 8-10 hours to make sure the fabric was straight, cut them out, stitch them together, flatten the seams and top stitch. I love it and bought more fabric to make two more. Your instructions were great. What other beginner projects do you suggest? Thanks, Debbie from Central Oregon. I had a tough time straightening the fabric. Debbie
Hi Debbie. Here is a link to a few beginner projects working with fat quarter pieces of fabric (18" x 20"). ruclips.net/video/ckzcjom7PSY/видео.html Many of the examples have just a few steps to complete. I think some of these will be a lot easier. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi Yomamma. Bring both fabrics right sides together. Then pin and stitch the sides. No turn the table runner right sides (pretty sides) out. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
Hello, When you made the cupcake table runner did you iron the interfacing on to the pieces before sewing then together or after they were sewed together.?? Thanks!!
Your videos are so helpful! Quick question. I’m making a reversible table runner for a friend that is unfortunately bright pink on one side and white on the other. What can I use to reduce the pink showing through to the white side? Thanks!
Hi Cathy. You don't have to pin. I do that because it makes it easier to press the edges evenly. If you don't want to pin, then as you press roll the edges back and forth to line of the seam evenly. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 💗 and happy sewing😍
I am new to sewing, so I was hoping someone out there can answer my question: my fusible webbing says to use “low permanent press” setting on my iron. My iron has Synthetic, silk, wool, cotton, and linen. I am not sure which one I should use. Help!
Hi Paul. Synthetic is the coolest setting, and the others gradually get hotter. I would use a small piece of the fussible webbing and start with the wool setting to see how it works out. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi Arkynurse. Yes you can. You can use cotton batting. But there will be an additional step you will need to do. After turning the runner front side out and stitching the opening closed, scatter pins all over the top to hold all the fabric layers together. Then you will need to do quilting stitches to hold everything together. Click on this link to view a video on how to do these stitches ruclips.net/video/csQAE4kOZi8/видео.html The explanation is about 12 minutes into the video. Thanks for watching and happy sewing.
Hi Donna. Bring right sides together of both the top and bottom pieces then stitch together. Leave an opening on one side, then turn the table runner right side out. I hope this answered your question. Happy Sewing.

Great video
Thank you for this video. I have a question. Do you have to use fusible material if the fabric is stiffer?
Hi Tonya. I would still use a light weight iron on fusible interfacing. It will lay much nicer on your table. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
muito agradável
Hi Sheryl, enjoyed this video, you explain very well. Would like to know if you can quilt the table runner?
Hello, When you made the cupcake table runner did you iron the interfacing on to the pieces before sewing then together or after they were sewed together.?? Thanks!!
Hi Linda. You can fuse it on before stitching the runner together or after it is stitched together. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Your videos are so helpful! Quick question. I’m making a reversible table runner for a friend that is unfortunately bright pink on one side and white on the other. What can I use to reduce the pink showing through to the white side? Thanks!
I would use either cotton batting or heavy iron on interfacing by Pellon. 😀
Why do you have to pin the edges after turning right side out. Thanks
Hi Cathy. You don't have to pin. I do that because it makes it easier to press the edges evenly. If you don't want to pin, then as you press roll the edges back and forth to line of the seam evenly. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 💗 and happy sewing😍
Do you put fusible interfacing just on the top layer or both? Thanks!
Hi Marissa. Just put the interfacing on the top layer. Stay safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Glad I just found your channel, can you recommend a good pressing pad, I would prefer not to have a bulky irnoing board.
Hi Cindy. Walmart sells pressing pads. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

The Sewing Room Channel Thank you! I did use batting. Gave it a quilted look. Thanks for the video. I love your videos.
I have a question, when you put the bottom layer on top of the top layer, is the right side up or down? If anyone knows the answer, thanks in advance.
Hi Donna. Bring right sides together of both the top and bottom pieces then stitch together. Leave an opening on one side, then turn the table runner right side out. I hope this answered your question. Happy Sewing.
The Sewing Room Channel Thank you so much!
Do i need fusible webing for a heavy fabric?
Hi Skeesmiller. I recommend that you use the heavy iron interfacing because it will hold it together better and give it body. Happy sewing.
