Great video Chris. I’ve been using Warrior since the G3’s, currently have the G6’s. I’m the same as you, didn’t like the slide plates at all, I felt out of control and when dropping down into the butterfly my knees would open up just enough to where I had a few sneaking through the 5hole. I also removed the “professor strap” felt to tight and wasn’t able to get the pads to rotate the way I like. I also like my pads loose. I’m 5’9” and have 33”+1.5 no knee break “wish I did” and extra stiff top, medium core and soft boot. Have both gloves G6 with removable palms, I like to be able to wash them. I do have the skate lace pocket and love it. Great review, I should do a 1 year review of my gear.
Bought a g6 glove with floating pocket with skate lace. Almost like a lacrosse pocket. Not sure if legal in pros, but it’s helped in catching and keeping pucks. Thanks for the review. Makes me wanna upgrade from g6 to the g7’s now.
I'd try a double T in that glove , the secondary pocket in the pocket may might help. It may slow it down enough to get the glove closed on it. Great review.
I wear the the 6.1 catcher and blocker and love the fact I can remove the palm for cleaning, the best set I've used period. I did have the finger protection on the blocker disintegrated, I replaced it for foam. I'm looking forward to a redesigned catcher palm that closes over the knocks'
Unless you have a very early production run, or an early custom set, the .1 gloves shouldn’t have removable palms, as discussed in my G6/G7 comparison video.
@@chrisxdudo your right it's the 6 RTL glove. I also had the pads and just couldn't get comfortable with the shin pad, I went back to Bauer Mach pad and know have found my perfect set up
@chrisxdudo the only reason I use waxed over unwaxed is simply durability. Unwaxed has snapped for me a couple times but I've never popped an waxed pocket thankfully
Great review, did you mention your pads are 32+1? There's the 32+1 intermediate and 32+1.5 SR, so which one? Im only 5'7 currently on G6 33+1.5. I'd like to correct my sizing when I switch.
99% sure it’s in the unboxing. It’s a 32+1 Senior width. Food for thought, do you think I would choose 10.5” INT instead of 11” SR when facing NHL shots?
I notice you don't have any bauer reviews aside from the glove...is there a reason for this? Looking at options for my next set and i'm undecided on brand.
Must have missed the Ultrasonic review and stick comparison! Check out the Gear Review playlist and you’ll see everything I’ve reviewed. Content is ever growing, there will be more Bauer, and more Bauer items I want to review when the time is right.
Unrelated but that's a sort of crazy request of the team to make for you to get all new gear. I get that they want it to be neutral but who cares?! Unless they are reimbursing you to replace your gear, they shouldn't be making such requests (or at the very least, they should provide you with the PadSkins).

Love my G7s, no regrets since getting mine early last summer.

Thanks for the review I’ve been eyeing these leg pads for a long overdue upgrade from my g2.
Go to the G7 right now. It’ll be like a flip phone to the newest iPhone lol.
Great movement during the practice shots!
Thank you! There’s a few things I’d like to work on after seeing this, but I’m trying to get better every time I’m out there with them.
@ there’s nothing like getting practice in with pros. Makes everything that much better.

Unless the T was shortened before the floating pocket was added, it won’t be legal. You definitely need to upgrade!
Great video
Double-tee and/or skate lace would probably help. Thanks for the review

I'll take em!!
U had the exact same thought on why the cuff is so short needs a tad more coverage.
I just ordered a custom G7 RTL leg pads, spec as soft to be like G4 Pro.
Swapping to waxed skate lace from nylon fixed the puck rolling out of my G7.1. Highly recommend giving it a shot
I would never ever recommend or use waxed skate lace in a glove as wax is designed to hold tension over time.

@chrisxdudo thanks for confirming. I actually never knew about the 10.5" Int 😆

The team cares, I care, and they know I get new gear all the time. I have an issue with this glove anyway, so I certainly don’t mind getting more!
Not a fan of Warrior gloves at all…. Surprised you liked it. Never used their blocker.
I liked it, but definitely didn’t love it. You’re missing out by not using their blockers.
@ I use an Eclipse and a Hyperlight 2…. Really think the Warrior is an upgrade worth looking at or comparable?
You saw the review, right? Then you should know I like it that much.
Your leg strapping is very peculiar. Very few goalies wear there pads like that.
That leg pad strapping is literally stock across all major brands in the industry. Knee strap, internal upper calf and outer calf strap for closure.
