I watched this video comparing the song and the English subtitles. It honestly made me appreciate how poetic and beautiful Tagalog is. The translation just doesn’t have the same emotions. We should be proud of our language

This song really hits me hard, I never expected to fall in love with her. I invested all of my time admiring, caring, loving her. She was a working student in our school and I even waited until 6:30pm where she was done for her shift, which I don't usually do to people where in I have strict parents, but yeah I waited for her so she could have someone on her side going home. It was the exact moment that I heard this song when I decided to tell her how I really felt, I told her; "I never expected that my feelings for you would grow eventually to the point where I can't go on about my day without thinking about you." which she replied; "I'm sorry but we're just not on the same page." This song hurts like hell. I was just a normal university girl trying to survive college. Then I met this guy. We got close. He courted me. Things were going okay. He would cheer me up when I'm sad. He would listen to my stories and rants. He would always ask me how my day went. He would send me song covers. He would also give me assurance every time. I also did things to make him feel special and cared for. Each day, I was slowly becoming more sure of my feelings until I became sure that I already love him. I was just waiting for him to say it first. Until one day he told me he wasn't sure of his feelings and that we should stop what's going on between us. That shattered my heart into tiny little pieces. I didn't know what to do. I actually thought we were on the same page but unfortunately we weren't. I really get it
I've known him at a very young age, be friended him and liked him. We got sadly drifted apart for such an incredibly dumb reason. The whole time we spent glaring and hating each other like animals always made my heart burst after. The span of time we didn't talk I've always kept him deep in my heart, hoping and praying to god he'll give me another chance. 5 years later my prayers were answered and I didn't dare to waste the time i was given. We became classmates for two years and for the first year i only spent it admiring him from afar, yet after a little courage and hope, i eventually poured my heart to him. He told me he liked me for 3 years while i liked him for more than 6 years, but hey who was i to complain?. It was enticing, we talked for hours, flirted and giggled at each other online, never in school. When the pandemic came into the picture it was almost my breaking point. I was slowly breaking and reaching the end of my sanity, i always came to him like he was my home. But last year July 2020 he started ignoring me and becoming distant. I couldn't do much cause who was i to comment on a person's behavior towards me when we weren't even together? Eventually, he started straight up ignoring me. The point in my life where i needed a home to come be cozy in my entire life. We were never together, never labelled our relationship as something like those relationships, we both just knew we're more than friends. After than incident i finally realized he lost all interest in me whatsoever and i had grown to finally accept it. His words that made me fall, his voice and personally made me more at home than anything else. Yet now it's gone. Although I've been trying my best to forget him i can't bring myself to erase these emotions. My love for him is growing for more than 8 years now even when i have no connection him until now. Wherever he is now, im happy you were that gave me my temporary home.

I 'am on that situation right now. The only difference is that I never had the courage to tell him that I love him more than a friend. It was pandemic that led us closer again and became best friends once more. Maybe, I'll bring this feelings to my grave and just regret. I know it is so impossible for me to be with him forever just like what I always dream of.
