I just wanna say that SHINee doesn't really have those Positions anymore theyve stated multiple times that everyone does everything so minho isn't only the rapper he does a lot of vocals too :)
Well I was going to say, I have heard Minho sing, but Kevin likes to know positions. He feels that it is easier to learn that way, but I'll let him know that they don't really follow those anymore!
@@emilysreacts Even better! The most iconic one is from SHINee World IV, truly one of their best concert tours most memorable live performances are from that concert!
SHINee's "Replay" isn't just nostalgic, it's legendary. And SHINee are legends. The Noona (the older girl SHINee have a crush on that they are singing to) in the "Replay" MV is the leader of their sister group***, Victoria from F(x). This MV came out more than a year before F(X) debuted so this was Victoria even before debut. (Funny thing is, Victoria is native Chinese and she says she was still learning Korean during this time and she could barely even say SHINee.) Victoria was so perfect in this role because she is a few years older than any of the SHINee members so she fit well as the lead actress in this MV. As the song says, 'Noona neomu yeppeo .... replay, replay, replay ...." In other words they are saying "pretty older woman I really like you and I think you like me too ... every time I see you I need a replay of the moment over and over again in my head." Noona neomu yeppeo is a Korean term that essentially means "Pretty older woman" Yeppeo is a term that means beautiful that is only used by guys to describe a beautiful woman that is older than them. There really isn't a literal translation of the term so that is why the song is called "Replay" in English. But in Korean it is called "Noona neomu yeppeo." That's why if you watch SHINee on a lot of variety shows and TV programs, the older women in the show often ask SHINee to sing this song to them. ***** SHINee and F(x) are both SM Entertainment groups, they debuted within a year of each other, they both are 5 member groups (Now 4 member groups ;( ) and they have similar music styles and concepts, etc. F(x) is pretty much the female version of SHINee. "Replay" is literally considered one of the best debut songs of all time for any Kpop artist because it's so timeless and it never goes out of style or sounds outdated no matter how old it gets. And this is why SHINee are Icons. This song makes all the women swoon. Every new rookie group in the industry has covered "Replay" at least once in their career and it's one of those songs that is pretty much compulsory for everyone to know and learn. And SHINee is the group that almost everyone who came after them cites as the reason why they wanted to become a singer and dancer. Even senior artists in the industry icolize them. You just witnessed baby SHINee and were already blown away, just imagine what it will be like as you go through their discography and MVs. They have 13 full-length albums (7 Korean albums and 6 Japanese albums) -- several repackaged albums, a multitude of mini albums, numerous OSTS, they each have solo songs and albums and there are hundreds of live performances that will absolutely leave you speechless with their talent. And it only gets more and more impressive as you follow them through their career. They have accomplished a lot in the past 12+ years and they are one of the groups that made Kpop what it is today. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups as trendsetters. This song was way ahead of its time when it first came out. SHINee are known for never being afraid to experiment with their style and sound in a song and for the fact that no two songs of theirs will ever be the same even on the same album. SHINee are always setting trends, never following them. As SM's experimental boy group, nothing you hear from SHINee will ever sound the same, and, yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. So this shows just how talented even as teenagers SHINee were. If you want to see where SHINee truly shines you have to watch their live concert performances. Fun fact: SM originally wanted to make SHINee a hip-hop group. Hip-hop was the style of music that was really popular when they debuted. That's why Key and Minho are both rappers and how Taemin started out as a popper in dance. But as Key tells it, they just didn't have the swag to pull of hip-hop, so SM switched up their sound and style to something that fit them better and they came up with the signature classic SHINee R&B vocals they are now known for. I, for one, am so glad they debuted with their signature R&B style instead of hip-hop. I can't imagine the world if we never knew the amazing vocals and sound that is SHINee today. Things would be so different. May 25, 2021, will be SHINee's 13th anniversary. So SHINee are part of the second generation of Kpop and yet they are younger than most everyone in their generation and are the same age or even younger than many members of groups who came after them, such as EXO and BTS, etc. which are part of Kpop's third generation. SHINee debuted young and have the experience of seasoned veterans. It just goes to show you why they are legends in the industry. When SHINee debuted Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14, so now they are all in their late 20s and early 30s. (Onew turned 31 in December.) SHINee are some of the most well respected artists in the industry. Onew (Pronounced Oh-New, real name Lee JinKi) -- the one in the hat -- is the leader of the group and he has one of the most unique and best voices in the industry. (Onew means, or sounds like, the Korean words for soft or gentle, so he was given his stage name because he has a very calm and gentle personality.) His vocals are unmatched. He even holds the record (40+ seconds) for the longest continuous note without changing tone or pitch, etc. Jonghyun -- the one with the bandanna -- is known as one of the best vocalist in Kpop who was one of the most prolific songwriters and composers of his generation. Jonghyun wrote and composed almost 40% of SHINee's songs, plus he wrote all of his own solo songs and numerous songs for other artists, such as EXO's "Playboy" and songs for Taemin, IU and Lee HI, etc., as well as participated in several movie and drama OSTs. He was one of the only SM artists to be given complete artistic control over his work, including several of SHINee's song selections. SM knew that if Jonghyun was involved in any way that the song would be a hit. He was extremely respected within the industry as a songwriter, composer and singer. He was one of the very first Idols to be known for this songwriting and composing skills. As the main vocalist, Jonghyun is the one you hear with all the amazing high notes and R&B runs and ad libs most of the time. Key -- the one in green -- is our diva and fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment with their sound or look, so Key is known for really paying attention to detail when it comes to fashion. He is known for always being unique and wanting to stand out. He is an amazing singer and is a sub-rapper in the group. He is also known as SHINee's dance copy machine. Key has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. He is also SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker. Minho -- the one playing basketball -- is the main rapper and visual of the group, but his vocals are also some of the best in the industry. Minho sings just as much as he raps. He also writes most of his own raps in SHINee's songs. Minho is one of the top actors in the industry and he has starred in numerous dramas and movies. Minho is also known as a top athlete. He says these days he goes to the gym a couple of times a day to work out just because he likes to work out, but he is also crazy about soccer, and he plays basketball, baseball and golf, and he is good at track and field events, etc., as well. And not only does he enjoy playing all those sports, but he is usually the best athlete on the field and he pretty much wins every time. There is a reason why Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma," and one reason is for his intense passion for sports and his need to always win. And Taemin -- the one in yellow -- is considered one of THE BEST dancers in the entire industry, and that's not just by fans but by everyone in the industry, including his peers. Taemin's nickname is the Korean Michael Jackson. As you can see by their "Replay" MV, even at 14, Taemin was one of the best dancers in the industry, and you will soon discover with the more that you watch from SHINee and Taemin's solo work, that he has only gotten more magnificent over the years. Taemin is also one of the most popular solo artists in the industry and he is a member of the Kpop supergroup SuperM. Taemin truly is art when it comes to his performances. SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. As a SHINee World -- what SHINee's fans are known as -- or Shawol for short (pronounced like shy-wall), I can tell who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with my eyes closed with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop".
This took me a while to read but it was extremely informative! SHINee will forever be iconic! I feel like there was a reason that Lucifer stuck with me after all of these years. It was like a weird experience to hear it again after many years, but I felt just the same as I did when I first heard it. I'm not sure why I never looked into more of their discography before last year. It is probably because K-Pop is not very popular where I am from, so I just decided not to look into it. But I will fight to my grave to say that Lee Taemin is the best dancer in the industry and I stan groups that possess phenomenal dancers.
Lucas loves Replay because he passed auditions dancing it. He also trained a lot dancing her and reminds him of the trainee days, so it's his sweetest old memory 🥺
SHINee is pronounced like Shiny -- as in shiny stars or Shiny diamonds -- because they are so magnificent that they need a double ee to show just how brilliant they shine. They SHINe(e) like the sparkling performers that they are. That is also why their symbol is a diamond. That's why "Replay" still shines so bright today. :D If you like SHINee's dancing, you should check out SHINee's "Replay" dance practice. It's not an official dance practice video because dance practice videos didn't become a thing until 2010 when SHINee released the industry's very first dance practice video with their song "Lucifer," but it is a real dance practice video from way back to SHINee's debut days. SHINee were literally the first group to ever release a dance practice video specifically for fans to watch and they are the reason why Kpop groups produce dance practice/choreography videos today. For anyone who wants to get to know all the members of SHINee better, I recommend watching a group guide video called "A Very SHINee Guide." Not only is this one of the best SHINee guides, but it is one of the more recent (2018). SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. Yes, over the years they have become better at lip syncing then they used to be, but now they have gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach. You really should check out some of their live concert performances because their stages are like none other. Their concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform nonstop and never sound out of tune or out of breath. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. You know EXO, so you know how good of vocalists they are, well, the members of SHINee actually were mentors to a lot of the EXO members and they helped coach them in their singing. The members of EXO and the members of SHINee are all around the same age, the members of both groups even lived together as trainees and they were all part of the same trainee program, and, yet, SHINee debuted 4 years before EXO, so that just goes to show you a little bit of what makes SHINee so amazing and why they are considered legends. Minho and EXO's Suho are also really close friends. Suho originally was training to be a member of SHINee. He was all set to debut as a member of SHINee, but right before their debut he injured his knee and had to sit out for a while, so SM decided to debut SHINee without him. Suho ended up having to wait 4 more years before he debuted as a member of Exo instead. But I think it all worked out for the best, because as a member of SHINee he never would have been the leader (Onew is 2 years older than Suho -- at that time the member who was the oldest was often automatically the leader. However, when EXO debuted, things within the industry had changed and it wasn't such a fast rule that because you were the oldest you would become the leader. Case in point, Xiumin is the oldest member of EXO, but Suho is the leader.) And, as you may know, as the members of EXO say, Suho was meant to be a leader. And, yes, Taemin is considered one of the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry, and that's not just by fans but by everyone in the industry, including his peers. (EXO's Kai is the other top dancer.) Taemin's nickname is the Korean Michael Jackson, not only because his dance style is similar to MJ, but everything about him -- from the way he carries himself, to his unique dance skills to his aura on stage -- is that of a legendary artist that is on a whole other level. Taemin and Kai are best friends since trainee days and they pretty much grew up together -- Taemin is 6 months older than Kai -- and they both entered SM as trainees at age 11/12 around the same time. And they are so much alike in looks, dance styles, skill level, family background, personality, etc. that many in the industry refer to them as twins. They are the most iconic best friend duo in the industry. I agree, NCT's Jisung and Taemin are a lot alike. Taemin has even said he sees his younger self in Jisung. Taemin's and Jisung's career paths pretty much mirror each other. Both Taemin and Jisung debuted when they were 14 years old, they are both the main dancers and youngest members of their groups, they have similar personalities and dance styles, and they both gave up their youth to pursue their greatest passion which is becoming dancers and performers. Jisung Idolizes Taemin, and when they participated in Why Not? The Dancer together -- even though Taemin is about 9 years older than Jisung -- Taemin told Jisung to think of him as a friend and not worry about seniority.
Wait really?!? I'm literally about to start watching Lucifer just because of the background music. Also, thank you for the years, I am terrible with dates😅
thank you for appreciating SHINee. i hope both of you can react to more of their stuff. if nothing else, their concert clips are not to be missed because SHINee excels in live performances. they are harmonization kings and all 5 of them are great vocalists. also:- * they debuted as a contemporary r&b group, but they always experiment on a lot of different genres. most people, fans or not, associate their songs as something that has a distinct "SHINee sound" to it. you will just know it once you listen to more of their songs. * SHINee World is our fandom name. we call ourselves Shawols, which is short for SHINee World. * people say that Lucas and SHINee's Minho look alike. see it for yourself though.. * not sure if you noticed because both of you didn't mention, SHINee now has 4 members currently active, but they are always 5 in our hearts.
We definitely will! Lucas and Minho are definitely twins! Also, when Kevin asked me to define SHINee, I was having a hard time because they are just SHINee. That's what they sound like! I do know that SHINee only has four active members now, I didn't mention it because I felt that Jonghyun's guide would fully explain everything. I even discussed with my sister who is a Shawol on how I should explain it to Kevin because I wasn't apart of the K-Pop community when that happened but she was. So, I felt she would give me an appropriate response on how to address Jonghyun. But SHINee will always be five💙
@@emilysreacts yey, thanks.. our only wish as shawols is for jonghyun to be forever remembered as part of SHINee.💙 thank you for helping us introduce SHINee to more people. looking forward to more SHINee reactions.💙
In the "Lucifer" MV the SHINee members don't have superpowers, but the "smoke" or "light trail" you see is supposed to represent the aura of a girl who has devilish powers like Lucifer, who is trying to possess them and take over their lives. As the English lines in the song say, "Loveaholic, robotronic ... her whisper is the Lucifer." (They are using auto tune because they are supposed to be "robotronic"-ly controlled by the girl who is "The Lucifer." So the auto tune is meant to make them sound robotic.) So, in other words, the women or girl they are talking about is so desirable that she is like Lucifer and you have to use all your willpower just to resist her wiles. In the MV you see them trying to fight against her powers and resist her attempts to try to make them bend to her will, etc. That's why in the choreography you see all the robotic moves because they are showing how "Lucifer" is trying to control them like a robot -- for example, they put their wrists together like they are being handcuffed to show how she is trapping them. And they vibrate to show how they are being manipulated by "Lucifer" and they are trying to resist her powers, etc. (FYI: That vibration you saw them do is 100% them actually shaking like that, there aren't any camera tricks. If you pay attention when they perform Lucifer live, you will see them do that exact same thing. :D) LOL we have no idea why they had to be dancing in front of a sports car, but that was kind of an iconic thing that Kpop companies did back then in a lot of their MVs, The group would dance around a fancy car to showoff their coolness and to give the video a more futuristic, expensive looking aesthetic. "Lucifer" came out in 2010, more than 10 years ago, so this was just the look that a lot of MVs had back then. Just take a look at TVXQ, Super Junior, Infinite or 2PM MV, etc. from around that time and you will see a similar look and style. SHINee was setting trends in the industry with 'Lucifer." LOL I'm not sure why people are often so thrown by their hairstyles and outfits in this MV. :D I think they are actually all pretty cool for doing something different that sets them apart from everyone else in the industry. And that is what makes SHINee legends and why "Lucifer" is such an iconic song and dance. You're not going to remember a group or a song if they look and sound the same as everyone else, you remember them for standing out and not being afraid to be unique. Key is our diva and fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. And SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment with their sound or look, so Key's head was 100% really shaved bald on the one side. What you see is his head has been shaved all the way down to his scalp. He is known for always being unique and wanting to stand out. That's why Key's style is often just straddling the edge of outrageous, but somehow always manages to look cool. This was also the era where Taemin had long hair and it made him one of the most popular of the members at the time, especially with their Japanese fans. The Japanese culture really embraces men with long hair and the members said that he was one of the most popular at the time because of his style. Taemin with long hair is so iconic and many in the fandom were really sad when he eventually cut his hair. When Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 he was only 14 years old, so in "Lucifer" he is about 16. If you want to see where SHINee truly shines you have to check out their iconic performance of "Lucifer" Live in concert. Check out their performance at their SHINee World Concert III (SWC3) in Seoul. Or their performance of "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer" at their SHINee World Concert V (SWC5). This is a perfect example of how you can tell they are singing live and killing it every time. SHINee doesn't need auto tune, and if you hear them perform the song live, they often don't use it. I'm telling you, you really need to see their official concert performances. "Lucifer" is actually known as one of the most difficult songs and dances to cover because of its tutting and popping and for the fact that it has a very fast paced beat with dance moves that are very sharp and precise which are designed to hit every beat of the song. And the song itself is very complicated with the songs wide range of notes and flow. Many amateurs have thought "Lucifer" looks like one of SHINee's more simple songs and dances. But the minute they try to sing the song and/or dance the choreography, they soon discover that it is way more complicated than they thought. It only looks and sounds simple, because SHINee makes it look that way. Check out this clip of SHINee teaching a group of actors and comedians "Lucifer" as part of a challenge on the variety show "Invincible Baseball Team." (Search "ENGsub 샤이니 @ Invincible BaseBall (CUT2)" on RUclips.) It's funny because when they came to meet SHINee to start the practice, Jonghyun asked them why they chose this song of all songs, and they said because it looks manly and they thought it was fairly easy to cover. But the first thing Jonghyun said to them, while laughing, was "oh no, actually it's one of our more difficult choreography and it took us extra time to really perfect it." :D
You should check out the dance practice next. SHINee's "Lucifer" dance practice was the very first dance practice video ever released specifically for fans. SHINee is the group that started the trend and they are why dance practice videos are even a thing today. :D It was the very first dance practice video to go viral. Back then dance practice videos were filmed for the group and artists to watch to help them remember the moves and to fix mistakes, etc. They weren't intended for a mass audience. But SM realized that fans were starting to try and copy SHINee's choreography and they decided to film a dance practice and release it to the public. SHINee's dance practice videos became so popular that other companies and groups started to follow suite and show off their choreography by releasing dance practices too.
This is why Lucifer is one of my favorite SHINee songs! Also, Key is my bias and I love his diva self. I literally can't watch a video of his without dying laughing especially all of his recent videos with Taemin! The tutting in Lucifer is so iconic and I think really changed the game for K-Pop. Lucifer and Sherlock are two of my favorite SHINee dance practices. I mean Kevin doesn't even know SHINee but he knew part of the dance. That is how memorable and iconic SHINee is. I totally get doing out of the box concepts for their hairstyles, I just remember when I first watched the MV, I was just like taken aback by them.
You should go back and rewatch "Don't Call Me" with the English subs on so that you know what they are saying in the song. "Don't Call Me" is unlike most Kpop songs and SHINee are true savages with this song. With this comeback, SHINee are just doing what we have all come to expect from them -- showing us something that has never been seen or heard before and starting a new trend. Nothing you hear from them will ever be like anything you have ever seen or heard before. They raise the bar even higher with every comeback. And that's what makes them SHINee. :D With every new song release, SHINee are expected to come out with a style and sound that is brand new, not only for them, but in the industry as a whole. And "Don't Call Me" is a perfect example of that. What you just experienced is exactly what makes SHINee legends. And this is the reason why they are so highly respected, and why almost everyone in the industry who came after them cites them as one of their biggest influences and one of the reasons why they wanted to become a singer and dancer, etc. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee were designed to be SM's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last. The industry looks to SHINee to show them what the next song style and dance trend will be. And it is said that within 3 months of SHINee releasing their new song and choreography, you will see that same sound and style being duplicated across the industry with every comeback to follow from both boy groups and girl groups. When SHINee does something the industry takes note and follows suit. SHINee has started the trend with almost everything -- with every one of their songs to their dances to clothing trends, to live performances, to the way Kpop is promoted -- there is almost nothing that can't be attributed to something SHINee has been involved in. Because Taemin is also a member of SuperM, I think SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV and Fake Reality teaser is SM's way of drawing SHINee into the SM Universe and fully connecting SHINee to SuperM's/EXO's storyline. Hence, Minho's red hair and the red room with the chairs hanging from the ceiling. I think this might be connected in someway to the Red Force and EXO's/SuperM's storyline. I also see connections between EXO, SuperM, aespa and SHINee with the fact that we see SuperM riding on a subway train in their "100" MV and we see aespa in the subway in their debut "Black Mamba" MV, and now we see SHINee also in a train station in "Don't Call Me." And most recently, we saw Baekhyun from EXO/SuperM on an old train in his most recent solo "Bambi" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks and people on a subway train platform in Kai's "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and as it transitions to "Mmmh." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. Which I think is all connected in someway. The train station/subway platform in "Don't Call Me" also is given a very futuristic EXO-like feel with the view of space and the planets in the sky when you see SHINee dancing on the train platform. I also think that the scene with Key in the red outfit standing on the phone booth submerged in water has something to do with the Red Force as well. In that scene we also see Key dressed in his black outfit with the feather headpiece standing in front of the image of himself, which looks as though this could be showing Key in alternate realities -- or a "fake reality." Then it looks as though the members go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all posing in their black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in SuperM's "Jopping" MV when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of "Jopping." The members of SuperM are supposed to be coming together to help EXO fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop them from corrupting and taking over the world, etc. As "The Avengers," SuperM is taking the "best" members from each of SM's groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. So, if you follow EXO's storyline, in EXO's "Obsession" MV we learn that the good guys are the members in the all black outfits, and in "Jopping" we see SuperM's "Avengers uniform" is similar all black outfits. So in the scene in "Don't Call Me," when we see SHINee all together in those black outfits, it looks as though they might be preparing to join in the fight. And because of this, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and probably even now their 4th gen groups -- are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connections between the groups. And that includes SuperM, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
CONGRATS ON 1K!!! All of these songs are legends. Replay actually brought me into SHINee lol. Lucas performing it for his dead girlfriend always gets me 😂
I got into kpop coz Lucifer too, then got to like stand by me without knowing that it's actually SHINee's song too back then. Thanks for another SHINee content..
Hahaha i might add that MINHO AND LUCAS are really look alike hahaha most of the netizen thought they are brothers or siblings hahahaha... PLS. REACT MORE SHINee SONGS ♥️♥️♥️.. I enjoyed your reaction.. my fave songs was all of their songs but if i.have to pick one it must be VIEW ♥️♥️..
I saw a picture on Twitter that someone said was Lucas, but didn't realize till I got to the comment section that I realized it was actually Minho and OP was trying to point out how similar they were. I genuinely thought it was Lucas. It absolutely blew my mind. And thank you! We will be reacting to View next so stay tuned!❤️❤️
Thank for this reaction! And Shinee members are not older than exo, bc the oldest exo and shinee member are 31 year old and Taemin and kai are same age 😂😭
Oh I guess that would make sense because even though EXO debuted after SHINee, they were older than SHINee was when they debuted. I knew Taemin and Kai were the same age. I never really thought to look up Onew and Jonghyun's age, I just assumed they were older. That's interesting to think about now. It also makes sense why they were so close to EXO, like closer than other idol groups under the same agencies like YG and JYP.
I love your SHINee journey! they're so unique in music industry in terms of sound etc. They're their own genre. I can't wait also your reaction for the Kpop's King: Lee Taemin 💎💎💎💎💎
One could say Replay is cheesy. One could also say Replay is about theory of eternal recurrence and an affirmation of life despite all its disappointments and tragedies. Lol.
I just wanna say that SHINee doesn't really have those Positions anymore theyve stated multiple times that everyone does everything so minho isn't only the rapper he does a lot of vocals too :)
True they cannot be defined just as main rapper, main dancer, main vocalist etc coz they can do everything
Well I was going to say, I have heard Minho sing, but Kevin likes to know positions. He feels that it is easier to learn that way, but I'll let him know that they don't really follow those anymore!
you need to show him some live performances like Sherlock or Stranger!
Yesss live concert performances, you can't go wrong with those~
Okay, but a live performance of Sherlock would have me so hyped!
THREE SHINEE MVS ??? YAAAASS 😏😏👏🏽
I love SHINee so much, I pretty much jumped the gun on showing Kevin because I couldn't wait any longer!
I suggest u to react to SHINee your number, Japanese song. I think it can pass RUclips.
@@emilysreacts it made my day, can’t wait for more shinee/taemin reactions 🥺 was surprised when he already knew abt lucifer
Usually less is more because quality over quantity but with shinee everything is soo quality that more is more 😍😍
Hahaha you should have shown him the recent live performance of replay to get past the styling:)
I personally think the styling of replay is iconic, but I'll show him some stages once he gets into SHINee more!
THE legends
Kings, icons, legends, etc.
The number of newer, younger groups that have covered Replay is truly impressive
Like I said, it's iconic! I told Kevin whether he liked it or not it was just something that every K-Pop fan has to know!
Lucas loves Replay because he passed auditions dancing it. He also trained a lot dancing her and reminds him of the trainee days, so it's his sweetest old memory 🥺
That's so wholesome🥺💚
SHINee is pronounced like Shiny -- as in shiny stars or Shiny diamonds -- because they are so magnificent that they need a double ee to show just how brilliant they shine. They SHINe(e) like the sparkling performers that they are. That is also why their symbol is a diamond. That's why "Replay" still shines so bright today. :D
If you like SHINee's dancing, you should check out SHINee's "Replay" dance practice.
The Dancer together -- even though Taemin is about 9 years older than Jisung -- Taemin told Jisung to think of him as a friend and not worry about seniority.

and Lucifer is the bgm of one scene of American tv series called “Lucifer” 😂
Wait really?!? I'm literally about to start watching Lucifer just because of the background music. Also, thank you for the years, I am terrible with dates😅
@@emilysreacts it just came out one fighting scene of season5 or later? If it is not, sorry for my bad memory 😂
thank you for appreciating SHINee. i hope both of you can react to more of their stuff. if nothing else, their concert clips are not to be missed because SHINee excels in live performances. they are harmonization kings and all 5 of them are great vocalists.
also:-
* they debuted as a contemporary r&b group, but they always experiment on a lot of different genres. most people, fans or not, associate their songs as something that has a distinct "SHINee sound" to it. you will just know it once you listen to more of their songs.
@@emilysreacts yey, thanks.. our only wish as shawols is for jonghyun to be forever remembered as part of SHINee.💙
thank you for helping us introduce SHINee to more people. looking forward to more SHINee reactions.💙
LOL we have no idea why they had to be dancing in front of a sports car, but that was kind of an iconic thing that Kpop companies did back then in a lot of their MVs, The group would dance around a fancy car to showoff their coolness and to give the video a more futuristic, expensive looking aesthetic.
"Lucifer" came out in 2010, more than 10 years ago, so this was just the look that a lot of MVs had back then. Just take a look at TVXQ, Super Junior, Infinite or 2PM MV, etc. from around that time and you will see a similar look and style. SHINee was setting trends in the industry with 'Lucifer." LOL
I'm not sure why people are often so thrown by their hairstyles and outfits in this MV.
In that scene we also see Key dressed in his black outfit with the feather headpiece standing in front of the image of himself, which looks as though this could be showing Key in alternate realities -- or a "fake reality."
Then it looks as though the members go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all posing in their black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in SuperM's "Jopping" MV when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of "Jopping."
The members of SuperM are supposed to be coming together to help EXO fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop them from corrupting and taking over the world, etc.
Yeah trying to figure out SM's concept and how they all relate to each other physically hurts my brain. But it is one of the coolest things ever.
CONGRATS ON 1K!!! All of these songs are legends. Replay actually brought me into SHINee lol. Lucas performing it for his dead girlfriend always gets me 😂
Not the dead girlfriend dance, I'm crying😂😭
I have to show Kevin, he will have a field day with those and thank you so much!!

Me just patiently waiting to throw every Taemin solo in existence at him
Thank for this reaction!
I think u, can tell ur friend that not many groups dare to cover full song of SHINee. Cause, their songs are so difficult to sing 😂
Just SM group things😂
TAEMIN new mv "ADVICE" and SHINee "ATLANTIS"

It is killing me not to react to Taemin solo stuff yet, it's just too good😭👏🏻
Vocals
They are sooo good!
One could say Replay is cheesy. One could also say Replay is about theory of eternal recurrence and an affirmation of life despite all its disappointments and tragedies. Lol.
lol wow, was not expecting that kind of interpretation of it.
