Will your kids want to be wrestlers? Bret says he wouldn’t have a problem with it.
His matches were solid, He had the best punch in wrestling and never hurt another wrestler.
He understands the show. The Art as explained in his book:
“The Best there Was, The Best there is, the Best there ever will Be.”
Roddy Piper wrote the intro, He’s proud of his book.
How did wrestling handle the death of his Brother Owen:
Horrible, Wrestling not about dropping people from the ceiling. Other Wrestlers were shocked at the way it was handled. Bret very critical of the days following Owen’s death. He was very disturbed. He found it hard to be in the ring post-accident. He was however injured at the time.
Some people thought Owen’s death was a part of the show, that it didn’t really happen and that hurts Bret.
Bret doesn’t want to be an old wrestler. He thinks Ric Flair, Terry Funk and others should go out on top!
He still thinks everyone except him knew about the screw finish….yes even Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
Bret thinks Beyond the Mat should have had happier stories too, Mankind should not have had his kids at certain matches, He worries about Mick, wrestling is not about hurting yourself.
Bret next phase of his life, back in the ring maybe and becoming an actor. He has a full medical workup due before any decision and has trouble remembering. He doesn’t want career to end on a Bill Goldberg kick to the head. He may write another book.
