I was so excited to watch this video because I'm just about to sign up for this race in 2024! I'm so happy you posted it - really gives me an extra level of insight into the challenge of it all. Beautiful filmmaking - the northern lights footage and some of the participant interviews had me teary-eyed! Great stuff and see you at the starting line next March? :)

Hey, congratulations, great video! However, I feel that it could perhaps have been improved by adding some additional back story. For example, you could have done some sort of narration after the intro explaining the distance, the route, where the tough sections are, which days are the longest distances, who the athletes are and what their training/past performance has been up to this point etc… The days could have been indicated as well as the position of the athletes so that the audience could better gauge how their mental and physical state progressed and evolved. I’m not sure if the video was intended to highlight the competitive aspect, but if so, perhaps some insight to other athletes relative locations could have been included. But the cinematography was fantastic and the interviews added a really nice touch.

Sick video! Fantastic doc, especially the interviews. This stuff is not easy and is not done by many content creators! Love the courage to try something different and "just" be the filmmaker and not the protagonist as well.

i have done some weird shit in my days, and learnt that you have to understand your body when doing this type of thing. pain for instance comes in different types, some can, with effort be relatively safely ignored, other pains should be respected and counted with. it all boils down to knowledge and priorities.

Amazing video. I only experience -20ish about once a year. Thats usually at night, in the deepest part of winter.
I had to walk into work once in -25 because the car couldnt move. (Like, less than a mile). That was fun 😂😂 my eyelids froze open because the icicles on my eyelashes!

Thanks again for the support!! I haven't planned to post any more videos about the race. But you're right, might be better to include my own thoughts on videos like this, or post multiple videos :) More like I'd be a journalist in the event. And yea, documentaries like this take a ton of time, so for now I'm probably going to focus on smaller projects 😁
Please consider to post something else about this race🙏 I guess you have plenty material left behind. The event is so unique that 15 minutes is just not enough 😂
Don't get me wrong: the concept of this video is wonderful. It's very high quality documentary with perfect editing, storytelling and even drama. But you may put another angle on such cool (in every meaning) event by adding your personality and charisma in next videos😏
