Have any of you guys seen Battlestar Galactica? Honestly, Tricia Helfer is a gem of an actress and I'm extremely excited to learn that she's voicing Kerrigan.
She would be great as Sarah Kerrigan in a Starcraft trilogy. That voice was worth playing the game.
current voice of Kerrigan in Heroes of the Storm isn't her,i heard a rumor some voices are not finalized.

@friendlycakeasaurus uhhh I forgot which clip it was but when i watched one when Kerrigan was narrating the return of the Zerg, her voice acting was... wasn't terrible but was ehhh.

reading your comment as i play through heart of the swarm, i will have to say that i can't imagine Kerrigan as another voice actress even if it is the old one witch did a terrific job, but yet again Tricia Helfer is perfect for HOTS
I want the old voice, i find her new voice is like forcing the evil, and not even getting close
He is Arcturus Mengsk since SC1 :p but IMDB got him as Zeartul as SC1 role (and still not fixed that). The original VA of Zeratul (and General Duke) Jack Ritschel sorry to say... is dead. Now new Zeratul (and Swann) VA is Fred Tatasciore.
Helfer's damned good. She's done a lot of video game voices, as well as being in cartoons and Battlestar Galactica. Don't get me wrong, the original actress will always be a favourite, but they're probably switching up actresses to keep things fresh, much like how Bioware does things (Who btw also used Tricia as EDI in mass Effect 2.) Blizzard is a company; they want the product to sell, and names sell. At least they picked a damned good voice actress.
and how do you know if Glynnis Campbell was a video gamer and not just a voice actor?

I really liked the original Kerrigan voice and was looking forward to hearing her again. I assume Tricia Helfer will be good but I am still disappointed my favorite voice from Starcraft is gone. Unfortunately this happens a lot, like when they make movie adaptations of animated shows. Many productions would bring in movie stars to replace some or all of the cast or otherwise star in the movie. I assume it's for marketing reasons, like to have the famous names in the credits in the ads.

@classifieds103 Chris Mentz is the core designer and head artist for every Blizzard game since Warcraft 1. He is the reason why warcraft, diablo, and starcraft have such iconic imagery and design.
Not getting how they are 'embarrassed' tbh.
But then, I don't care that they've replaced the voice actor happens frequently. *shrugs*

@tjello Yeah I agree too. The original voice for Kerrigan was ok, but probably a bit too high. Tricia's voice is perfect for Kerrigan because it's a bit more deep, but still has the ability to be innocent.
they should have just cast mengsk as zeratul for the lulz.

While I prefer the original Kerrigan I think Tricia Helfer will do fine. The fact that she is a different voice actress than the original, or good looking, does not reflect poorly on her ability. You don't have to be a fan of Battlestar to appreciate her talent.
What is beyond me is why they did not hire Glynnis. I can't imagine her charging even more for her services than Tricia or for that matter, how that could even be a issue for Blizzard.

I wonder why they had to bring her in? Looks are not the important thing in voice acting look at all this other guys they are not this huge athletes as there characters are? Even do i think she will do fine so do i think they could brougth in someone when they changed voice actors to Kerrigan with someone who was a voice actor who could compare herself to the others.
lol...i just finish insane sc2 campaign (i played milti-p a lot) and just hearing TH speak make me feel cold....;)
@stanthekid990 her cutesi cheerleader style voice? How fucking old are you honestly? Quit it with the damn stereotypes. Her voice was great for the Queen of Blades AND Kerrigan. Her voice is actually a bit deeper then the original Kerrigan who was Glynnis Campbell.

idk man although Tricia Helfer isnt bad at all, i think nothing beats the OG voice of Kerrigan/Glynnis Campbell
