- In today's country homemaker day in the life I'm prepping all the food for a mother's day lunch. We're taking the food to my mom's place and all but one of my kids will be there also. It's food for 16 people. And this didn't show in the video, but we polished off every last bit + some chips and dip my aunt and uncle brought and a pile of tootsie pops from grandma!! We know how to eat! All the recipes are in my cookbooks. Chocolate Torte and Pizza Burgers are in cookbook 1 and Mom's Potato Salad is in cookbook 2 (I think, or is it book 1?) Anyway, you can also search my RUclips channel and find all those recipes as well in other videos. I make them often.

Grandchildren are growing fast. The northern light were unreal here in Maine, I didn’t expect the show we got.

Are you boating on the same lake where you grow the cranberries? It's so pretty where you live.
Yes. It's technically a reservoir (we call it the pond) and it's the water we pull from to irrigate the cranberries and for flooding the cranberry beds.
It was so nice seeing everyone have a relaxing boat ride. All of you work so hard that I enjoy watching you have some play time! 😊

Buy a silicone reusable tray for your drippings on the blackstone! I have 2 and while one is being washed, I put the other in for next time! So easy and less waste!

My daughter lives in Wisconsin. She said the same thing about the northern lights. The camera really enhances the color. Some people in Indiana saw them, but we looked and didn't see them.
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! I’m so glad you had a wonderful Mother’s Day with your mother and the children. I spent the day with my mother too and I know I’m so blessed to have her as my mother. She will be 84 years old soon and I want to do something very special for her birthday.
It looks like the kids enjoyed the boat ride. It’s such beautiful scenery on the lake even though it was a cold day.

I really enjoy your videos! I grew up in Northern Mn and my Grandparents were in Austin Mn in a farm. They raised hogs and had corn, soybeans and straw fields. A lot of work living on the farm.

I find it a little amusing that Maria who is a little bit of a picky eater loves Caesar salad that is usually an acquired taste taste lol sounds like you had a Wonderful Mother’s Day . I hope you were spared from the storms last night they went north to kaukauna and south to Oshkosh this Brats looked so good so did the steak

It confuses me when you speak of Mother’s Day this time of year, Mothering Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Lent here in Wales. I know Mother’s Day is in May there in the U.S.A. But. Mothering Sunday is when you go to your Mother Church where you were christened and over many years it has changed to Mother’s Day.
Here in the US, Mother's Day is the 2nd Sunday of May. Interesting history - thanks.

Great video! Is that an enamel coated cast iron pan you are using?? And if you are, please use silicone or similar... or wooden utensils in it. Not only are you scratching the interior surface (which you can see in this video the scratch marks), but within time, you are putting that coating into your food?? No metal utensils should be used in these kinds of cooking pans... ever.
Whoops! I use metal all the time; it's going to take some work to change over and remember.
