RK really upped their game with the more recent M75s. The models that come in light grey, dark grey and green now have south facing PCB's, their in house switches (viridian or pale green) are now 5 pin cherry style, and they come with double shot PBT keycaps (pretty nice ones!). The new models are top notch for $80! Edit: I threw a tape mod on mine and it sounds dang good with it. Little bit of a pain opening the case but worth it! I have a sound test listed in the Amazon reviews of the green/grey models toward the end :)
Wait is the pcb north facing or south facing? I'm genuinely confused right now. Some told me its north and other told me it's south. But either way I already bought the keyboard and it's still on delivery. Just want to make sure before I decide to buy some keycaps.
@@NekoLeo7 The purple model is the older one that comes with a north facing 3 pin PCB. The light grey, dark grey and green models all have south facing 5 pin PCB's. It's really goofy that they changed it like that and they're both still called the M75
@@radbradmtb6915 I have a purple one and it appears to be south facing (I dont know shit about keyboards but the RGB lights shine out the bottom of each key so I assume that means south facing) edit: I went with the RK Browns which are three pin switches but this same colorway is available in the pale green or viridian options too
It's a little bit unfortunate you didn't get the new revision that has updated switches and keycaps even with south facing version. My unit has silver linear switch, north facing on July batch. (you have June batch) But those revision is still new very few countries have it at the moment
@@JerwinAngelo The 3 keycaps at the right are different. From page up, page down and pause to home, page up and page down. The switches also updated with the pro version. I suggest you should wait a bit more as it recently came out. (Just saw some reviews with totally different switches) I'm quite surprised they made so many variants it will depends on your countries.
I want to get one of the newer options as I like the green and white color. My current keyboard has linear switches so I'm used to that, and apparently the "Veridian" switches option are linear as well, but don't know how they stack up compared to the sounds of the others. @@mickey36736
Update: Looks like RK H81 and R75 also get the new revision with new color options and switches too. Probably they reuse switches and keycaps to all 3 models
I love the looks and sounds of this keyboard and I really want it. This may be RK's only clicky keyboard that has some thock on it (spacebar). The light modes are brilliant.
Great video! I bought it in the spring when it launched and thought it was one of the best prebuilt gasket mounted keyboards I've tried! Great feel and I use it regularly for gaming and work.
hey, quick question. Did you download the software for the scroll wheel to change volume? if you did, where can i find it? I can't find it anywhere online Edit. i found out you can use it in wired mode :)
how would you describe the sound and feel on the silver switches? I'm thinking of buying and haven't been able to find a solid video or article talking about silver switches onthis particular keyboard.
@@labshirt1014you should watch the video from @switch and click. She does great reviews and she types her review of the keyboard using the keyboard. It's great, its a speed switch so it's incredibly fast response rate, which if that's your thing thats good. It also seems that my rk m75 came with south facing LED lights.@@labshirt1014
All that spacebar need is a silent switch or a 3 layer tape mod. Or both if you are that bothered with it. Like what op said, it's really not that bad. Would you do Epomaker TH80x with the Flamingo switch Next or in the future? Kinda torn whether to buy this or that one.
@@HaydenGoldsworthy Well, it's the Keebs that has Knobs and LCD that also have less than a 100 dollarydoos is what I want to hear from others. It's the TH80x that is also a close or something akin to M75 with its larger battery life. I do wanna see me keyboard's status afterall without spending too much to a Hundred. It's just a Keyboard afterall compared to other more beneficial things to buy. For me, Such money can be more worth spending by buying a new phone or PC parts. That's why I want to hear which is better based on my preferences. Good build, knob, lcd, 75 or 80 keys, mod capability, and price ranging to 100 bucks or less.
Yes, this keyboard has a Mac mode that can be toggled by Fn + S (for Mac) or Fn + A (for Windows). However it does not come with MacOS keycaps so you would have to mentally map ctrl win alt to ctrl option cmd. The volume knob can only be used to adjust volume (it is not customizable). Pressing down the volume knob is for changing modes (between wired, 2.4GHz and three BT profiles). Long pressing the knob turns the keyboard on/off. Hope this helped

Which switches do you have? Red, Silver or Brown?
Also which do you suggest?
which switch is best for rk m75 if my sole purpose is typing - Brown, fast silver, viridian, pale green ?
