HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol)

HSRP is a Hot Standby Routing Protocol also called Gateway Redundancy Protocol
One is elected as a Active and other one is elected as a standby
Active and Standby Routers send Hello messages every three seconds.
If the Standby Router does not hear any hello messages from the active router for a period of 3 times the hello timer , it will consider Active is down
and Standby Router will take over the active role
