@@Ilyapa I was gonna say the exact same thing. IMO the normal endings are the "real" endings of each story, the true ending is just the ending of "A Piece of Blue Glass Moon" as a whole. In fact the true ending is the only ending where the credits show images from BOTH ROUTES!
@@Ilyapa It could've been if they kept the pseudo-harem ending from OG. Instead, they made Arc overly villainous (just torturing Ciel for fun, not very in character imho), but didn't elaborate on her feelings and just treated the entire fight as a joke, instantly forgiving her without Arc showing any remorse and just running away, which kind of ruined the moment for me. And then it was just a good end repetition from OG.
@@greenlitllemanI mean the final battle of the true end is more just nasu expanding the lore to show how absolutely batshit insane ciel and arc can be, it is more of a joke but thats the point, arc is strong enough to destroy the planet on a whim, which is what makes her scary, but honestly as a nasu defender even i started to get annoyed by the lumina sequence, like sure ciel wont die but its not fun to see the girl u fell in love with being tortured for 4 hours, (even if ciel went a bit overboard herself) but i also don't think that that was not in character for arc, she is a female Gil & the personification of nature itself, she can be infinitely cruel

It always feels like the first time

This scene made my jaw drop
People need to talk about this scene more. Absolute kino.
Literally.
A magical scene this was.
Greatest of all time...

this scene is an evangelion reference and no one can prove otherwise
Nasu, like many others his age, is a huge fan of EVA, so highly possible.
Fate stay night was written by Nasu after being inspired by the first episode of Evangelion so he certainly saw the full show.
@@crash-testproductions9341 could you tell me more about this, or there's a link where I can read it?

yup 👍

my wife
this is where the true ending peaked, everything after this kinda fell off and lost focus on ciel.
normal ending was better written imo
true ending feels more like the ending of the whole novel, not just ciel route, that's what I like about it the most
