Great video! I read your reddit post about this trip. Super useful in planning my trip. I am thinking of doing it either in May or July. How was the bugs in May?

Bugs late May were terrible! It was the first warm week in May so I think I was in prime blackfly season. Definitely regretted not having a bug net. I've heard anecdotally, earlier May is clear of all bugs if you can get it before it warms up too much.

I'm doing it in September. Best time to go. Barely any bugs and nice changes in leaf colors.. those Sawyer Mini filtration systems are awesome. I got a pack
