It's amazing how a clipboard throw can be so expressive it's hilarious. I love it.
It also conveyed a very specific energy with the clipboard eventually facing down XD
To be fair, he wasted the knowledge wish and eliminated something that wasn’t a valid clue anyway, so that was completely pointless
When an Onryo tries to hunt but theres a lit candle nearby it will blow it out instead. so when it blew out its third candle/lamp it tried to hunt but instead blew out the other candle. Thats why all of them went out at the same time.
You either don’t relight the candles or you just use a single candle to avoid that scenario
To be succinct, a candle acts as a crucifix for an Onryo.

really? I assumed that did not work for hunts caused by candles but that explains past my difficulties with Onryos

If you want more, Impulse has plenty of phasmo vods on his 2nd channel where Grian is chaotic as always (just a little harder to hear, but he's usually up pretty loud)
I don’t really know if he’s up to date like he said in the description. There are a few recordings that he might see as incomplete-such as when they tried out the Tier 3 stuff in a challenge when his recording wasn’t working-but that wasn’t all of the streams

iirc the reason the first ghost didn’t hunt after the third flame is because you kept relighting the candles after the ghost blew them out ! candles act as crucifixes for onryos so every hunt attempt was cancelled by the other still-lit candles

Also, Goryo's stay-in-room ability is not active during hunts
The problem was the nature of the challenge denied them EMF readers, and restricted DOTS to Tier 1. That, combined with the attic being the ghost room, made that round impossible to win
