There is just something about the angular design of the Zeta that makes it stand out among all the other Gundam units over the years. After all this time Zeta Gundam is still my all time favorite Gundam unit.
The true testimony of the Zeta platform is in its longevity. Variants of the Zeta are in continuous front line service even into the Laplace Incident twenty years after the original Zeta's introduction.
The point of the waverider isn't to be a seamless sleek jet like macross, the point is to have the flying armor parts of the mark 2 integrate with a mobile suit directly, it's not a jet, it's a wave rider for a reason. For a jet look at abulhool or murasame
