  • In Chapter 07 of #ABtalks, Anas Bukhash sits with Ascia to bring to light many cultural and societal stigmas. Half-American, half-Kuwaiti, Ascia grew up experiencing bullying, an eating disorder and being a third culture child. In this interview, Ascia opens up about finding a balance between her passion and her family, how to make culture work for you and all the life lessons she learned along the way.
Ascia is an entrepreneur and fashion blogger who started her career in 2012. Since then, she expanded her work realm to become a fashion designer and the founder of three successful businesses: The Hybrids, Desert Baby and Seoul Kool. Ascia has worked with brands like Dior and TAG Heuer and is the face of Riva Fashion.
In his RUclips show, Anas Bukhash takes a seat with unique personalities resulting in exclusive and sometimes daring interviews. Each guest is hand-picked and each episode reveals details that have never been talked about before. The guests of #ABtalks are known for being inspirational and influential; experts in their respective fields.
#ABtalks shines the spotlight on the raw and human side of various achievers, celebrities, influencers, trendsetters (and breakers); as ‘normal’ people, as human beings.

I commend you Anas on being able to conduct an interview that is wholesome, raw and honest and for making important topics the center of the conversation/interview rather than making it about meaningless gossip. Ascia has always been someone that I respect so much because of her intelligence, kindness, humility and ability to confidently be true to herself. Thank you both for the inspiration!

Ascia has made her name in social media purely from her hard work and efforts. Shes genuine and she works hard for what she wants to achieve. One can sit at home and hate on everyone being successful and waste their life away or one can get out there and be something and have a motive.

This interview made me instantly subscribe to this channel. One on Anas Bukhash's no-nonsense style of interviewing and the raw realness with which Ascia shared her story and two, how much needed something like this is for this region. People don't address these things out here... The muslim world, the Arab world, the Asian world. I am an Indian guy but I related to everything that they spoke about. #ABtalks is a godsend for the Middle East demographic! Keep up the great work! Big love guys!

I thought this was going to be another superficial interview that only touches the surface of important topics. I'm so surprised by how deep it went. There were alot of important take-aways from this interview and I'm grateful I had the afternoon off to watch it. Thank you to both of you.

Ascia, thank you thank you, thank you! I know how extremely emotional and vulnerable this must have been to share and I just want to say that this made me truly love you even more! Never thought I would love someone as much just by following them but I appreciate this tremendously and I know it took a lot of courage to be THIS raw on the internet. I have many issues that I have to keep unspoken about my father as well (and even my mother) and I just cried like a baby as soon as you shed a tear! ❤️
Anas, thank you for being truly one of the most remarkable interviewers I've ever seen! There is only 1 other interviewer that I could honestly say who's amazing and just as raw and gets the truth out of someone and that's Mehdi Hassan but you remind me so much of him! He is more in the politics world but you really are able to get to the heart of these influencers who had to hide their facade for so long! Thank you again a million times for this!! ❤️❤️

I can relate to that "trying to impress my dad" thing, and hamdollah I'm over it now, and it actually made me love my father more because I don't have a link between him and my sadness anymore. 🙏🙏🙏

I know this episode has been up for sometime now, but I needed to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, it's heartwarming watching two humans talking about things that are not usually discussed in a typical interview, the way the interviewer asks the questions, interacts with the answers and transitions between them is brilliant!

You are a really good interviewer. You pushed ahead to get past the surface of her answers (and I'm a big fan) to get thoughtful and measured responses. I'm 20 minutes in and the frank discussion about children and positivity is refreshing.

I loved her and been following her since I was in freaking middle school::)), now I am a uni student and still admiring what she does in life... you have done a great job with the questions & literally at some point I felt like I am watching two beautiful minds communicating and having this interesting conversation that doesn't look like an interview at all, and made me relate to so many things that led me to had a lot of pauses because I liked what I've heard. Thank you, for giving us great content like this.

I think it’s super interesting that you both described yourselves as weird even though the majority of young people can probably relate to you guys more than the ‘traditional’ Arab influencers.
