It’s true, unfortunately I am ashamed about the most women of my time are so lazy. I lived with my grandmother and learned to cook at the age of 8, I soon found myself getting up early and taking care of the whole house and serving the family, but those lazy women who don't have an education in the duties of a woman don't represent me, it's a shame.

Reminds me of growing up in the hills of Arkansas. We had to carry water up from the spring we used for water. It was quite a little jaunt. There was always a bucket of water sitting on the table in the kitchen. I remember my mom using the same old pots and pans she had since as far back as I can remember. No regrets.

Nechci srovnávat s našimi hospodyňkami, ale tam žena, ač křehká, nemá problém zastat i chlapskou práci. A při tom všem dokáže udržovat doma teplo, čisto a útulno, narozdíl od té stepní chátry ze Sibiře... 🙂

I so enjoyed this -- what a beautiful place and the food look delicious. The house is so simple, yet homey -- love the icons. Not to glamorize rural living -- it's physically tough -- but psychologically and spiritually it must be so much nicer that the crap we live in today with all of our "conveniences" that are making us miserable slaves.
To me, it is amazing that she completely ignores the little dog that follows her around....not even a small pat on the head, let alone a kind and loving word. I hope she at least likes the little thing. I wish I had him....he would be a wonderful addition to my family!!
