Backstrap Weaving 2

In this video, I am attempting to weave without setting up the Warp Bars in the traditional manner. Some of you might find this workable especially when you work on smaller projects. But some might feel this just adding more stress to deal with the warp yarns not secured in the warp bar and appreciate the proper warp bar set up.
In conclusion, the way I handled the war bars in this video is workable, but I would recommend setting up the warp bars securely from the beginning, as I showed in “Backstrap Weaving 1” and “Backstrap Weaving Basic.”

Do you have any tips for weaving a balanced weave fabric without the use of a reed?

I didn’t use a reed on this backstrap weaving so I am guessing that you are asking this question for when you weave on a loom?? Anyway, I am guessing that the combination of keeping the space between weft yarns for balance weaving, keeping in good even tension of weft and warp, and keeping good enough weft length in each shot when weaving would help, I think.
