On second thought…you just might be able to get 2 tools and press both in really hard…one from the right and one from the left…and it might release the bottom 3rd spring lock out of the way.
FYI…each side of the airbag will pop out on its own just a bit, just enough when you follow the instructions in video

I'll add this here so others don't have to spend the amount of time researching I did. The third post was added to the Colorado/Canyon air bag sometime in (early) 2018. Prior to that you only have the 2 posts/springs that are accessed through the side holes.
The easiest way to access the spring in the third (bottom) post is to turn the wheel 180 degrees upside down. When in that orientation, the post and spring are visible from the back of the wheel, and can easily be adjusted with a pick/screwdriver. You will need to use the key to disable the steering wheel lock.
