He is a smart brain, but he is not a good standup comic at all. Neither is he spontaneously funny (like some of our other comics) -- pretty cringeworthy in fact. He's basically more of a Jimmy Fallon than he is a Bill Burr.

I think Biswa has said - " a really good comedian is not a normal person saying funny things, a great comedian is just a funny person saying things." If you look at Abhishek upmanyu , Bassi they are funny in off stage normal life. Abish is smart humble man, but in social performance pressure when he tries to say funny things...he sometimes comes out as cringeworthy , so that joke delivery doesn't land

This actually shows how much hard it is to make people laugh and keep engaged for an hour or more. So much of thought process and hard work goes behind a RUclips video which we see and very easily most people comment and pass judgements.

Now I want to see journey of a joke for HOSTEL video.
That's another level of anecdote.
Felt like Bassi's understanding of comedy is quite different from most comics..he is very instinctive yet planned, very visual and creates a setting and is aware how it will turn out, very logical & analytical in writing jokes yet isn't sticking to the usual comedy rules & therefore is able to create different rythms in same sets.
And all of these aspects are somehow magically balanced for him!

Flow was superb so I dont know if this helps but on 25:32 someone really coughs when he says "barah bajke panch minute pe mai khasunga" , that coughing from audience could have been used by adding "bas aise he, isi tarah". #LoveYouBoth
