I generally hated the part, it just went on longer than it should have, and I feel that even kids were like “Mommy why are we seeing this Karen going on a rampage, I want to see Sonic”, and it just shows on why in my book, Rachel is the worst character in the entire Sonic franchise, worse than Big the Cat, even if he is a bit stupid, at least he doesn’t have to make a scene everywhere he goes, Rachel meanwhile is the description of cringe, she just does some of the most cliche and unfunny jokes and gags that I have ever seen, even in the first film I didn’t like her to the point that I told my Mam that “she’s annoying”, she is the Jar Jar Binks of the films, but at least with Jar Jar, Lucas heard from the criticisms and downplayed his screentime in the next two films, but Rachel despite the criticism of her scene, they are still going to bring her back in the next one, god dammit, why keep bringing this bitch back, she wasn’t funny before, and I don’t think she’ll be funny in the future, I don’t mind Tom and Maddie, they are fine in my book, but Rachel should be on the top 10 worst movie characters, and don’t say that they are only bringing her back because she’s “family”, as that isn’t really an excuse, I would rather want to see Big looking for his Froggy than Rachel going on another unfunny rampage. #Rachelsucks
I’ve seen the movie and as a Sonic fan, I loved every second of it! Including the wedding scene. The best thing about the movie is how they managed to create an original story with new characters while keeping the charm of the games themselves. It’s so good that, since the plots are based of the games, by the time they create a movie referencing Sonic forces, they’ll make a masterpiece that does what the game failed to do. Basically Sonic 2 is my new favourite movie of all time, managing to slip past Wall-e into 1st place. This is my opinion so it’s ok if you disagree…
If they ever do make a sonic forces inspired movie I really want them to fix Infinite. His character had such bursting potential to be a great character. But bad writing and a terrible, TERRIBLE, backstory got a hold of it and drove it into the ground.

I reckon they put that wedding scene in to give the parents who are taking their kids to the movie something to watch so when the sequel is released they'll be like "Oh yeah, the one with that wedding thing in okay sure I'll take you to the Sonic 3 movie" which makes me think if they're doing a trilogy they'll just outright cut most the human elements out as they don't need to butter up the non-fans to go see another sequel
Hey Steve, I'm just asking if you could review the movie "Song of the sea". It's quite the hidden gem of a movie and I would like to see you review this movie. And maybe two others like " The secret of Kells" and "Wolfwalkers".
I hope at movie 4 we get metal sonic plot which is eggman after failing again in movie 3 he will create his ultimate robot but he will create the robot with the power of time stones (basically sonic cd the movie)
Many of the human scenes just felt unnecessary. The wedding itself was legitimately a plot relevant thing, and sure meeting Rachel's fiance was kinda vital as well. But the vollyball scene, the ring mixup, the dance off, and the 'Rachel goes after her fiance' scenes were all completely not needed. They could have been cut from the theatrical release without any suffering to the story and simply popped into the Extended Edition if they had to have them included in the film. My biggest problem, though, was the 'rescue' scene with Maddie and Rachel because it was such a missed opportunity for Tails. Why didn't they just have Tails stay buried under the snow so GUN would miss him and let HIM be the one who lead the charge to save Sonic, directing the human characters how to use his gadgets since he was too weak to do much himself. It would have given him a proper moment to shine and further prove his intelligence while including the humans in the story.
I hope they do explore the Maria and Ark plot with Shadow for 3 but it would also be cool if they have Metal Sonic be the real villian like in Sonic Heroes where he transforms into a dragon. I got a funny feeling they will mix SA2 and S HEROES together and it will go something like this. -Shadow and Sonic will be enemies for the majority of the film like Batman V Superman. -Doctor Eggman will discover the Ark and use it to take over the world but his latest creation Metal Sonic will become sentient and deem all of humanity doomed, he betrays Eggman and teleports him to a unknown world and takes over the Ark to destroy the planet. -Shadow will also be up against Tails and Knuckles from time to time while suffering with flashbacks with Maria. -Metal Sonic will transform into a dragon like machine like he did at the end of Sonic Heroes and battle Super Sonic and Super Shadow while Tails and Knuckles infiltrate the Ark, we will see Knuckles go head to head with the stations robots showing off how strong of a warrior he is while we see Tails do what he does best as they try to get to the main control room. -After defeating Metal Sonic both Shadow and Sonic will use Chaos Control to transport the station out of earth's orbit to ensure it will never be a threat again, Shadow vanishes and his voice echoes speaking to Maria that he kept his promise to her. -The ending shows that Tails has discovered that Eggman has been transported by Metal Sonic to another world, the very world from the final episode of Sonic X, knowing that Eggman will return with a army of his robots to try again Sonic and the Team decides to say goodbye to Tom and Maddie and transport themselves to Eggman's location to ensure he never threatens Earth again. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles arrive on a planet green and similar to Earth and decide to have this new planet as their home and they rush off to fight Eggman with his robot army once again. -There will be a mid credit scene showing Amy seeing Sonic, Tails and Knuckles race off in the distance and decides to see if they need help. -The epilogue scene will show Shadow crashing back down to Earth, he wakes up seeing that Earth has survived and makes a new vow to protect the Earth and allow the people of Earth to be happy just as Maria wanted them to be.
Loved the wedding scenes personally. It was like watching two different movies that were both very fun and they came together to set up the next act. The Russian dance-off was great, too. It used an old song that's been played out and an old trope, BUT it was genuinely fun. The Siberian dude they battled... with a tattoo of himself in Jesus Christ pose on his chest as he extended his arms... that was quite funny for me. Plus bringing in the Tails holograms and the general feeling of being stuck in building with all these people in the middle of a snow storm in Siberia was kind of great. And then in no time we're on Hawaii again and some lost island and a lost labyrinth. It was kind of well knitted in my own opinion.
Wow, I was iffy with getting someone with a lot of talent doing the voice of Knuckles that also has kind of an iconic voice. BUT that was actually not bad. I'm impressed. Edit: Hysterical, when you said "what everyone wants" I had to rattle my brain and you confirmed it, lol. No love for Fang the Wolf/Dingo/Weasel Yeah that's a weird character I think they settled on "Wolf" with him. Also, what happened to Heavy the Armadillo? Yeah, super huge Sonic fan. I go obscure. Or that weird sentient weight you can play as in Knuckles Chaotix.
Wait what was the Ugandan Knuckles meme?? I was looking for one and NEVER saw it!! Also I unironically would like Big the Cat to show up I do love him a lot he's one of my favorite characters
Exactly my opinion on the movie! Those two scenes you mentioned were definitely the worst parts of the movie and should've been shortened to make the rest of the movie less jumpy in its editing That aside though it was an incredibly enjoyable movie and seeing that ending I have never been more excited for a sequel. Never in my life would I have thought we'd go from a nightmare design with a trailer that made the first movie look like it belonged with those shitty real life Smurf or Alvin and the Chipmunks movies to getting to the story that they teased at the end of this movie. I hope they will do it justice
I just saw the movie yesterday with my brother and I loved it. While I agree that the human parts were unnecessary, I give them the benefit of the doubt when I say that the wedding madness was an acceptable addition. These movies simply show more meaning with Sonic’s relationship with humanity that Sonic X lacked severely in my opinion, so I wouldn’t mind Sonic’s foster family being more involved in the third that’s definitely coming.
Idk why the wedding scene is upsetting to people bcus it sets up the part where GUN was there with a mission to capture Sonic. Idk, I’m a movie-watcher so I dnt understand why people hv an issue with the wedding scene when it was part of the plot and storyline. Now that BAR SCENE was unnecessary.. that’s facts
So entering spoiler territory so you've all been warned. So for Shadow, I hope we hit the backstory bits that you see if the Shadow the Hedgehog game, in which it shows that Maria is actually shot by G.U.N. as it could add a lot more to the movies plot, and honestly it would help solidify his anger and resentment for humans. As for the ending with how things ended up with Robotnik, it is interesting that they chose to leave his fate ambiguous as, for those that don't know yet, Jim Carrey has announced his retirement and wont be doing any more films, so that means that Stone may be taking his place as the main villain from here on out.
Im beginning to think the third movie would be where Sonic matures a bit. I wouldn't mind if there will be some dark moments in the movie, especially when Sonic would probably quarrel with Shadow at some point and he'll might definitely say something that would make Shadow snap.
I'm glad they keep Tails same voice acter. In this movie tails and knuckles show some of what make them great, but Sonic doesn't feel there yet. But Gose too weird at times, like when he howls, and says "fine we're not friends" at the end. Also I hate that this movie cuss with God 8 time thought out the movie.
Watched it last night and imma be honest, my friend and I both started laughing so hard at the end credits scene. I don't even know why it was so funny to us but I just couldn't help it
It's nice to see a creative team trying to do right by its fans. Instead of standing by the original design of Sonic, they saw we weren't happy and remade him to be near perfect. And now, Tails and Knuckles look equally fantastic and the vibe of their characters are great too. I don't look every single aspect of these films but there is a lot of good here and I wish more studios would try to do right by their fans in the same way.
I actually liked the dance scene. It kind of gave a nice bonding moment for sonic and tails to become friends and work together to overcome situations. The wedding subplot was the weakest part of the movie but even during that section of the movie it was fun seeing the humans use some tails gadgets.
Hey Steve could you please review the Short Film Bunny it's a creepy little short film it's also made by Chris Wedge the same guy who made the Ice Age movies

Wow, never thought they would bring shadow to the big screen. Maybe he will have a gun like in the video game
I don’t recall there being a Ugandan Knuckles reference, I probably missed it.
Where was it?
Just my opinion, but the wedding scene, especially the golf cart part, was one of the funniest parts, and I thought it was done really well.
Christ 3 videos in 3 weeks you've really outdone yourself here Steve
Steve's Bigs the cat movie plot is just superior.
I've already watched Sonic 2 twice, I just had so much fun
I wonder if losing the human scenes would have made people wonder where they were.
I hope we finally get to hear Robotnik say “SnooPINGAS usual I see!” in the live action third film
Hey Steve, I'm just asking if you could review the movie "Song of the sea".
It's quite the hidden gem of a movie and I would like to see you review this movie.
And maybe two others like " The secret of Kells" and "Wolfwalkers".
Nick Cage voicing the frog sounds good, actually. LOL
2:12 You had it right the first time! Kate Higgins did it in 2010.
So will you be reviewing the 1990's Sonic anime movie and the Sonic X cartoon in the future?
When you said, "There's something all the fans want to see..." I was terrified you were going to say, Sonichu! 😬😬😬
Where was the ugandan knuckles reference in the film, that totally flew by me because I was enjoying it so much hahah
I really liked the wedding scene and think that it was a nice addition
The streaming spinoff is actually coming to Paramount+.
I think the next women with Shadow should have a reference to him CANONICALLY be attracted to his waifu Ryuko Matoi LOL
I loved the wedding sequence because it was so deliberately out of place. Found it hilarious.
Wow, a presumed fight becoming a dance fight, very original.
Exactly my opinion on the movie! Those two scenes you mentioned were definitely the worst parts of the movie and should've been shortened to make the rest of the movie less jumpy in its editing
That aside though it was an incredibly enjoyable movie and seeing that ending I have never been more excited for a sequel.
I don't even know why it was so funny to us but I just couldn't help it
Omg I never played any sonic game but knuckles in this movie was such a great character, he carries the whole movie for me. He and robotnik mostly.
It's nice to see a creative team trying to do right by its fans.
Instead of standing by the original design of Sonic, they saw we weren't happy and remade him to be near perfect.
And now, Tails and Knuckles look equally fantastic and the vibe of their characters are great too.
I don't look every single aspect of these films but there is a lot of good here and I wish more studios would try to do right by their fans in the same way.
man now i wanted to see the ugandan knuckles scene
I actually liked the dance scene. It kind of gave a nice bonding moment for sonic and tails to become friends and work together to overcome situations. The wedding subplot was the weakest part of the movie but even during that section of the movie it was fun seeing the humans use some tails gadgets.
I love the idea for big’s big movie
Hey Steve could you please review the Short Film Bunny it's a creepy little short film it's also made by Chris Wedge the same guy who made the Ice Age movies
No, you were right about it being 2014. Colleen did not voice Tails in sonic colors (2010). That was Kate Higgins.
I would love to see Hugh Grant or Peter Capaldi as Gerald Robotnik
Patrick Stewart could also play the role also Shadow needs to be voiced by Karl Urban
@@williampulfer-melville8536 yep
A total Badass 1:14
I don’t know if anyone has said this but the Netflix series releasing this year will not be related to the movie and is more related to the games, however there will be a series on paramount plus based on the movies
wait when was the ugandan knuckles reference
I really need to see this movie and the first one as well.
Something gives me a feeling if we get a sonic three in the end credits it will show someone like silver or maybe this time it will be metal sonic or you could go really it hard to find the word but you could show the black doom or really anything the sky is the limit or in this case space so ya wait I just realized with the mater emerald being in the movie it could actually be chaos
This movie can be said in one thing CHAOTIC CRAZY FUN
I’ve watched your video about the cramp twins the moment you uploaded the video.
I'm glad we were on the same page for big the cat 😄
Just watched it today. I enjoyed every second of it and was glad that it was better than the first film.
7:00
Great story
Spoilers... you've been warned...
As soon as they mention G.U.N, I immediately know that Shadow is joining.
I just saw it with the fam and I guarantee it’s even better to watch in Dolby Digital we absolutely enjoyed it
Knuckles Is The Type Of Guy Who Does Not Mess Around And There Will be a TV Show of him on Paramount Plus and he’ll be played once again by Idris Elba.😮🎉
This was such a great movie yesterday it went beyond my expetation and really like how the movie embrace the new sonic movie lore it so intresting. But in post credit scene i knew he be in it so hype i cant wait for sonic 3 and knuckles spinoff spoilers will the knuckles spinoff be before or after also does that mean would we also get him spinoff after 3 or no.
