Responding to your comment at the end on why would a 49er fan watch this video. For me (a niners fan) personally it helps get closure on the situation. Especially from watching a good breakdown video like this, things get put into a perspective where I can accept the outcome.

9:43 is what coulda sealed the game. the 9rs get that first down and run the clock out then kick an ez field goal for the win. Purdy didn't even scan the defense. McDuffie was absolutely giving away that he was rushing. his whole body was turned towards the outside gap while he crept up the line. Mahomes woulda saw that immediately and did a quick dump off to Aiyuk who was wide open. Instead, Purdy stays on Jennings and tried to set his feet but didn't have enough time cause McDuffie was already in his face. Purdy's fault there 110%. Chalk it up to inexperience, but that's an ez read and completion for Mahomes that woulda sealed the game.

Great breakdowns, love your vids. I think MVP is the chiefs recruiting and coaching staff. Crazy that they were able draft, acquire and grow what is a somewhat young defense into a team that can perform at the highest levels even on the biggest stage. After watching this game start to finish, I was actually surprised Mahomes had 330 yards passing. It seemed like he was so often under pressure. Comparing SF o-line to KC o-line, it seemed to me like SF was much better. Would be curious what you think.

You guys lost because CMC fumbled, you didn’t run the ball with him in the second half when you had great success in the first, a freak accident on a punt return, and bad defense play calling in the forth and overtime. I'll armchair quarterback too but this is the truly most embarrassing part of the 49ers from what I can see. They have built up so much of the team, invested heavily in the defense, Deebo, CMC, but against a STRONG Dline, the right side of the Niners Oline seems to bat 300 AT BEST. The fact that Purdy can overcome that and get the ball out is great but without enough time for receivers to get separation you're going to be behind the sticks a lot of the time.

Exactly. This was clear against the Eagles in the NFC Championship last year, and clear all season. If (when?!) that right side gets addressed then the schemes and slow-developing plays and play action will have more time to work. Without Purdy's ability to be a playmaker and go off-script, they would have never been to the Superbowl, IMO.

It clearly was designed to for him to get end zone depth as a flat route could be pick six and no way do they call that route in that position. The safe route and best roue was to end zone pylon which is exactly where Purdy put it even with Jones in his face. Purdy played excellent.

To me…the 49ers on second and four played a little too conservative and scared and maybe Shanahan didn’t fully trust the quarterback I don’t know, but I would’ve passed on that down because the Chiefs don’t know if you’re gonna run or pass and you have better success to pass on that play. As much courage as Shanahan showed on that fourth and he went for it when they ended up getting a touchdown earlier in the game. I thought he turtle up on second and four on the overtime drive you need to go for the kill there.

The 49ers had the game all but won at the two minute warning in regulation. 3rd and 4, and Shanahan calls a pass instead of leveraging his strength (Williams and Juice blocking for CMC on a run) against the Chief’s relative defensive weakness (#17 against the rush). The incompletion stops the clock, forces a long, meaningless FG try, and hands the ball back to the best QB of his generation and an elite kicker with 1:50 left in the game.
Kyle is too risk-averse and is way too comfortable playing for FGs and with small leads. A first down after the two minute warning just about seals a 49ers win.
