I remember a British documentary on the Spitfire in which they also examined it's nemesis, the 109. It stated "While both the Spitfire and Me109 were killing machines, the 109 looked like one."
Great video and very informative, I have followed these types of videos from you, and find my self often going back to refresh for certain aircraft's I haven't flown in a while. Thank you sir for doing this.

Excellent video, I am a great fan of your tutorials. Just wanted to add that I blew my engine while cutting abruptly power, probably beacuse of the same reason you mention it can happen if applying full power suddenly in T/O, just the other way round.
I want to thank you for your IL2 “How To” videos. I consider your channel the best source of reference material I’ve found to date. You provide well detailed information without, sorry to be blunt here, the love of one hearing their own voice more than focusing on important need-to-know information. I do have a question I’m sure is in your used equipment list but I cannot seem to locate with any specificity. What HOTAS do you use and find has enough button options for all of the controls necessary for eyes on screen game play as opposed to searching for the button on a keyboard? Are you using foot pedals as well? Thank you again for all you’ve provided to make this wonderful flight sim easier to get on and start flying without too much guesswork.
Thanks for the video! Just to let you know I can’t watch the VODs on your twitch channel. I’m not sure if it’s a problem on my end but I figured I should let you know if it’s a setting on your channel (I didn’t have any problems few weeks ago). I can only see highlights rather than full flights. Looking forward to future content!
Your English is excellent, but I want to point out one small grammar correction: When you are talking about something that occurs consistently, which is a feature of the thing you are describing, and not a single incident, you say 'the entire horizontal stabilizer moves' as opposed to' is moving'. 'The aircraft 'handles' very well, as opposed to 'is handling' very well.
It's a Kurfurst-4 but with slightly shittier manoeuvrability. I believe some were converted to K4 in the field with a kit. (retractable tailwheel and a few other bits and bobs)
No. Thats wrong. The K-4 came much later than the G-14 and had for bf 109s quite a amount of changes. Not only the tailwheel, but also different gear wells, a different tail, another cowling and another engine. The K-4 was a major improvement. A G-14 couldnt be just refitted to a a K-4.

Thanks Sheriff, I really enjoyed this video, I enjoy all of them, but this is one of your best. I appreciation you mentioning my channel.
My pleasure!
Reupload due to a (now fixed) error. Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks for the update tutorial, love the G-14, but the G-6 has a special place in my heart lol

Great to hear!
Yes! One of my favorite aircraft in the sim.
Excellent tutorial well done Alan C. UK

No cutting power shouldn't lead to engine seizure.

Might have to make a PWCG campaign for this then...

Nice how to, think you coud do one of the K4 as well ?
Do the k4, do the k4, please do the k4, bitter
Hey! That is an unknown feature to me: how can you fold down the gunsight at 5:15? What is the keybind to it?
right ctrl and F. Only on later 109s.
@@SheriffsSimShack Thank you! I found the "sun filter" to, unfortunately it has no effect on the sun.
Do you keep your convergence at 400 on all of your Bf 109s?
yes

@@PORRRIDGE_GUN Potentially G-10. But some of the comments wouldn't make sense in a comparison to the K-4 either.
@@SheriffsSimShack
Most important the K model had the DB605D engine, which necessitated some bulges again. Only the G10 used the same engine.
Like I said. Another engine
