This can serve to justify their own positions by portraying the opposition as more extreme, thus normalizing their own stance. It’s a perspective that emphasizes the importance of understanding the relative nature of political labels and the power of framing in political discourse. @TrueAnarkii whenever people use labels like far-left/right, it's only in relation to their local standards. In this case European standards. Sovereignists and Patriots are the most far-right parties in Europe, whether or not you consider their views reasonable. Japan isn't in Europe, their society is very different, so trying to stick then into this makes no sense at all.

      @@tiihonhaukanmaki3874
"Whenever people use labels like far-left/right, it's only in relation to their local standards."
This is an oversimplification and somewhat misleading. Political ideologies have core principles that transcend local standards. Socialism, for example, is broadly associated with the left, while capitalism is associated with the right. By examining historical and contemporary political environments, we can categorize policies across the political spectrum. In France, labeling right-leaning parties as far-right is misleading and does not align with traditional right-wing or center-right categorizations. This reframing serves to justify the left's positions by portraying the opposition as more extreme, thus normalizing their own stance. A similar tactic is observed in Ireland, where working-class individuals are smeared as far-right for advocating for reasonable immigration adjustments. This is a clear example of propaganda and manipulation of language.
"In this case European standards. Sovereignists and Patriots are the most far-right parties in Europe, whether or not you consider their views reasonable."
You mean right-leaning parties. True far-right policies would involve extreme measures such as banning homosexuality, prohibiting all immigration, expelling all non-native races, or denying women access to education. These are examples of genuinely far-right policies, observed in some countries with strict authoritarian regimes. On the other hand, far-left policies can lead to highly controlled, dystopian societies, as depicted in George Orwell's "1984." Interestingly, extreme left and right ideologies can converge in their authoritarianism, highlighting the dangers of such extremes regardless of their political origin. This mislabeling of right-leaning parties as far-right is a tactic to paint the opposition as more radical than they truly are.
"Japan isn't in Europe, their society is very different, so trying to stick them into this makes no sense at all."
I mentioned Japan as a rhetorical device to illustrate the concept of shifting political baselines. If a party in France advocated for policies similar to Japan's stance on dual citizenship or strict immigration controls, they would likely be labeled as far-right. However, Japan maintains a more balanced approach to labeling left and right, without the extreme political rhetoric or polarization seen in Europe. Japan's political climate is relatively stable and less polarized, providing a contrast to the more extreme labeling practices in Europe. This highlights how political labeling can vary widely based on local political dynamics and how terms like "far-right" can be misused for strategic purposes.

Religion also helps make criterias and understand how they act and what they seek.
So far, many muslim 1ll3gal 1mm1grants in France meet the following:
      - won't assimilate
      - come only for the welfare system which benefits them
      - don't work
      - form gangs
      - won't even bother to learn French
This being said, they have come to France and made themselves into a nat10nal problem of France so they have earned their label, hence why they are now the most expected group to commit these actions of their group. This reputation wasn't built in one day. Again, they are more like a group of nationalities rather than just one nationality, hence why the skin color and the religion is used to make criterias, for simplicity. I'm fine with legal 1mm1grants of **any** skin color and religion as long as they integrate. Though, some countries may have a different religion as part of theor culture so that may also play a role in nat10nal1sm.
It's not that these groups are hat3d, but they simply pose a threat to the nat10nal secur1ty so they are an obstacle of nat10nal1sm and nat10nal1sm reacts naturally by backfiring.
And the issue of Izrayel (YT won't let me say it for some reason) is no reason for us to let ourselves stabb3d. I agree it wasn't right to replace the musl1ms there with j3ws, but now I only see 3 options for this issu3 and none is good:
      1) Leave Izrayel on its own.
      2) Keep the W3sts foodhold in the Middle East as a strategic point (nothing changes).
      3) Turn against Izrayel.

As Eurosceptics, they promote national sovereignty, and oppose any further transfers of power to European institutions. In fact, they advocate for power to be returned to the member-states." Should democracy itself be considered "far-right"?

Calling ESN pro-russian as a whole is very unfair, especially when you mentioned PfE as the limited-pro-ukrainian option. Fidesz at this point opposes basically every form of supporting Ukraine, RN and AFD both say basically the same about Russia. You mentioned Dutch PVV's more anti-russian politics than most of PfE parties', but you forgot to say anything about Polish NN, from which co-chairman of ESN Stanisław Tyszka comes from, and they're definitely anti-russian just like the whole Polish political spectrum, as their leader called Putin a war criminal, a murderer, and a barbarian, and said that Poland should support Ukraine, because having a long border with Russia is something opposite to Polish national interest. And yes, there are parties like Slovakian Republika which are russophilic, but what you said sounds like russophilia was something that unites the whole ESN group, which is simply not true.

Mainly anti migration, euro scepticism, and opposing greens. But it really is mislabeling because these labels are based of political spectrum some 20 years ago. Much more accurate would be to label EPP as centre (more EU, migrants, green policies), ECR as centre right (in favour of EU, migrants, green stuff roughly as it currently is), Patriots as right wing (less of all 3), and ESN as far right (no EU, no migrants, no green policies)
As for the left, you choose what they are on. So renew is extra EU, S&D is extra migrants, greens are well ... extra green
and "the left" as the party, is extra "lets break the economy"
