You have such a refreshing perspective in all your videos. This video definitely has me reevaluating my relationship with this camera. Especially the last bit about using film simulations without a recipe. To be honest, went right into Film recipe management when I got the camera and overlooked such a simple part of what even drew me to the camera. Would absolutely LOVE more XE-1 content, if you're able. Feel like your recipes would be a great addition to the ones currently out there for the X-trans I sensor. Great video as always
Using mine with Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2, like the experience for year so far. Feels and looks good, and it's compact enough to carry on the wrist strap. The only thing missing is faster shutter speed, but you can use ND filter.
Thanks for this interesting and informative video. Among many photography RUclipsrs, there's a contention that the X-Trans I sensor has some sort of secret sauce that the later sensors don't have. I have the X-E1 and the X-T10 (X-Trans II sensor) and although I haven't made any A/B test comparisons, I don't think I can tell the difference between the two. I love my X-E1 and my only irritation with it is its sluggish and occasionally inaccurate autofocus. I definitely wouldn't choose this body for wildlife or sports photography.
Fun and informative video. I really enjoy all of Fujifilm's cameras and design. I am yet to try out an older camera for the sensor results. Chris Orange, fantastic photographer also got an XE-1 recently for the black and white effects, and something about the grain details does set it apart from the results I usually get on X-T4. Seeing such quality in lower megapixels holds me from selling my current cameras for X-T5 or X100VI
This is my favorite camera & favorite sensor. The x-e1 is newer, faster & has a higher resolution evf & has a flash & is smaller than the x-pro1. That is why i sold my x-pro1 for the x-e1. Not to mention i could not deal with the parallex correction with the ovf on the x-pro1. So for me the x-e1 was a better choice all around. To me, this is the best camera fujifilm ever made. It's not perfect, but there is nothing like the original X-trans sensor and the button layout and body design is second to none.
Kalau jadi masnya, mungkin saya akan pilih EM1 tentu saja. Tapi tentu tergantung selera.

Does anyone know how I can preview the image before shooting with my X-E1? Is there a setting in the menu? TKS😀
Funny I have the exact same combo 😊
My version of 7artisans 35mm1.2 mark2 is better than the Voigtländer 35mm1.2 I tried. I love it on my XE1
bg saran dong yg bagus yg mana buat photocentric 80% video 20% antara xe1 ama omd em1? soalnya budget bo under 4jt 😁.

The most successful subject of the Fujifilm X-E series that I can say is saturation.
