XDUOO has released the wire to wire OTL full Tube TA-66 and according to some reviewers it bests the TA-26(S) and it costs a mere £200, worth checking out!
I enjoyed watching your side by side comparison with The X Duo ta26, and the Little Dot MK2. I've owned the MK2 for about 6 years now. Always looking to improve headphone sound. I noticed that the X Duoo ta26 is different from whats available from amazon. Not a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination, just easier to get to the power switch. Definitely interested in the Sound Stage aspect. Thanks again for the heads up
Do you think that the xDuoo TA-26 is a good first tube amp? I've never owned a tube amp before and am looking for an inexpensive option to start down my tube journey (don't want to go all in by spending $$$$ just yet since I'm not sure if I'll like the tube sound signature). For reference, I have the Sennheiser HD 660 S2 (think HD 650 but with more pronounced bass), as well as the Chord Mojo 2 DAC/Amp, with which I plan to use a 3.5mm to RCA cable to feed into the tube amp. Cheers! PS: Great video.
@PatrickPhillips0 and you’ve got nothing better to do than be some kind of genius in the comments of a hobbyist channel? Maybe your time would be better spent looking for a day job yourself ☺️☺️

There are two different one is a 26, the other is a 26S, main difference is the added a balanced output, and moved the switch to the back.
What did you buy? I in 2024 want to buy a Little Dot..... I must be crazy.

Yes I think it's a good tube amp to start with it will give you many of the warm organic tones associated with tube amps

What, you are reviewing OTL headphone amplifiers and you don't even know what OTL stands for? Don't give up your day job.
