Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!!! I have been SO frustrated with mine because my words didn't turn out. I'm like you, I want them perfect. 😊 Your video is exactly what I needed!! ❤
I’m a demo for 20 years as well. Came here for research because I too, was displeased with the brayer. Wish we could have just gotten a coordinating stamp. Save a bunch of frustration. Thanks for your video.
What an awesome tutorial. I learned so, SO much from you and not only about this hybrid set. Also about the use of inks. Your channel definitely is one worth having for inspiring cards and definitely candid, valid information. Thank you so much.
You gave us so many useful and helpful tips. It took a long time for you to experiment with all of this. I learned so much! Thank you so much Linda! I really appreciated this video.
I’ve been stamping since 1995, and never did like using a brayer. To me they always left lines. I’m glad someone has the same impression of brayers as I do. Thank you for your video…appreciate your honesty. 👍
Hi Linda. Happy New Year. I found this to be a very honest and helpful video. I truly appreciate the tips. I have ordered both of these and now have a better understanding of how they work. Thanks so much. ❤😊
I totally agree with you. I had a terrible mess experimenting. So I decided on the stamp ink pad worked best. Thank you for showing us the best way to use it.
Your video is Exactly what I needed before I purchase these! I had three same concerns & you answered all my questions! I've subscribed & can't wait to see your next projects using these hybrids!! THanks😊
I just came across your channel and love your honest review on these items. I am now a new follower and I look forward to watching your video next week using the hearts. Thank you for sharing
GREAT tips-always! I’ve heard you need to be careful keeping the legs of the new brayer up, so you won’t gouge your ink pad-sounds like a tip I would need 😇🙄
Great explanation of what works best with this Thoughtful Moments Folder. I was very frustrated before when I tried it. Now, I am excited to try this and it actually work! Thank you!
I agree with the other comments, thank you for your honesty and all the time you put into this. I was leaning towards buying the words but am not a fan of brewers as I have never had any luck with them. I wasn’t sure I would buy the hearts die but after your demonstration I believe I will. I shared this video with a couple of friends who were wondering how it worked.
Your honesty is so appreciated. I bought brayer when I first started making cards and I have never used it!!! I loved your explanation and your finished card.
Thank you for the detail of this video and all the comparisons. Love "ditch the brayer" I'm going to try white embossed with brush over all at the end. I did that with the Christmas folder & it worked quite well although it would be several steps. Emboss, Brush on Ink, cut. We will see. but thanks again
I just got the word set so was glad to see your video. I’ve only gotten my sandwich figured out so far but am liking how you used the ink pad to the embossing folder. Thanks for the tips.
Linda, thank you so much for this video. I was so disappointed in my first attempt with this folder and die. Your suggestions are so helpful. I feel like I can find a use for it now!!
Thank you for the honest review! I've seen so many projects with the embossed words where I noticed the imperfections you demonstrated and they bother me, too. Your tips are very helpful. I think brayers are most useful for creating blended ink backgrounds on cardstock.
Thank you I was running with the same issue, I was about to try that method using my ink spots but fell asleep last night. Definitely going to try it tonight.
Watching from Brisbane Australia and just found you. Have been searching RUclips for video's on this hybrid embossing folder, which I have, as I was trying to decide if I buy the brayer or not. After seeing this I won't now purchase. I have been frustrated with the folder trying to get good results and have tried all of the same things you demonstrate. Blends I found to be the nicest so far. But tedious. I have tried the ink pad straight onto the folder but did get some spots of ink in the low spots, you didn't how? And thank you so very much for being so honest, it's refreshing.
I was wondering about coloring those words. Your tips are really helpful. Could you leave the word in the die cut after you run it through the machine and then brayer the color over the top so that you don't have to use a marker or the blends?
How did you create the “blue hello”, from your newest video- with the coloring of the large dry embossed area on top of the word HELLO? Maybe using the ink pad directly to right side of embossing folder? w/o brayer?
Hi! From this video from January? or did you mean last week's video? If it's this video, right around the 12 minute mark I inked the folder with the pad. A little messy but worked better than brayer. I also colored one Hello with a marker after it cut it out .
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!!! I have been SO frustrated with mine because my words didn't turn out. I'm like you, I want them perfect. 😊 Your video is exactly what I needed!! ❤
Linda, you are a wonderful teacher, thank you.
Thank you for figuring this out - I was not happy with my first attempts but you’ve given me a new method that has better results!!!

Thank you for taking time to comment! Glad it was useful!
I have had fabulous results with the words by using metallic paper. The gold words on Very Vanilla CS look wonderful! Try it!
Ooh I’ll try that!

Thank you for this. I was thinking it was an expensive no go. I'll try the ink pad direct to folder.
Thank you Linda. This was very helpful and I was glad to see it wasn’t just me that had “issues” with it.
Great tips as always!
Thanks for going over that!!! 😊

Really appreciated your experimentation, so I don't have to! Thank you! Your way looks great.
Thank you I was running with the same issue, I was about to try that method using my ink spots but fell asleep last night. Definitely going to try it tonight.
I also feel they should have included one big stamp as well. It would have been nice also.
that would be a great idea
@@StampingSchool it still smudges, 😭. I give up.
@@CreativelyChallenged are you laying the metal die down carefully to avoid the raised words?
Thank you so much for this honest review! You did a great job trying different methods. I appreciate it!❤️
Great video! Thanks for your tips & your honesty!
I really appreciate your honest review!! Thank you soOoo much!!

thank you:) Some things are worth the work , some not LOL
Thanks for the tips. I have purchased the sentiment set and was ambivalent about the results. Will try your way next.
Thanks for the tips especially on the words which is what I would choose and intend to get.
great video. thx
Great tips Linda.
Like your trying it all and letting us know

well did try that and it's hard to avoid the recessed areas!
Oh, that makes sense. Thanks!@@StampingSchool

The cardboard piece from Paper Pumpkin works great if you don’t have a #4
Great to know!!!
My big issue with the words is that there is no Happy Birthday!
Tried all the techniques and the word set is a real miss for me. First SU product in 20 years I am unhappy with.
The word set is a little bit more work, I agree. Try using a gold foil card stock to cut/emboss the words instead of ink
